Born on 20.08.1966 in Plovdiv
At the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, Diyana Paliyska-Radeva won a silver medal at K2 – 500 m and a bronze medal at K4 – 500 m.
At the World Championship in 1985 in Mechelen, Belgium, she took fourth place at K2 – 500 m. She is also a world bronze medalist from 1986 in Montreal, Canada, at K2 – 500 m, where she also took fourth place at K4 – 500 m.
Paliyska-Radeva graduated from the Vasil Levski Sports School. She began practicing kayaking in 1978 under Nadezhda Vasileva. Her top achievements were reached with the coach Bozhidar Milenkov, with whom she has been working since 1985. As a national competitor she was partnered with Vanya Gesheva at pair and at four-person team.
Diyana Paliyska-Radeva was named Number 1 Athlete of the Trakiya Army Sports Society and is Bulgaria’s number ten athlete for 1988. She ended her sports career in 1990.
