About the project
In 2014 Professor Anelia Klisarova, the minister of Education and Science, hands to Georgi Tityukov – the then deputy mayor of ‘Sport, Youth and Social Policies’ in the municipality of Plovdiv – a signed contract for establishing a youth centre in the city of Plovdiv.
The project ‘Establishing a youth centre in the city of Plovdiv’, Programme BG06 ‘Children and Youth at risk’, Component 1 ‘Caring for youth at risk’ is funded through the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2009-2014 and amounts at 1 354 593.94 EUR (2 649 314.82 BGN). The youth centre is being built near the Regatta Venue Park in the city of Plovdiv. It is a three-story building with different functional areas: an accommodation area, offices and interactive educational centre area and a canteen area. There is a number of meeting rooms and spacious halls for conducting conference, seminars and non-formal educational activities.
