There were a lot of school championships and I started from basketball, football because I was tall and I could play it all. But in sixth grade, my then coach, Slavcho Slavchev, directed me to volleyball. From the moment I caught the volleyball ball, I told myself I was going to be a volleyball player. Love at first sight.

- Besides the physical, what other preparation is needed to win an Olympic medal?

- The road to participating in the Olympic Games is very difficult. First, you start working at least 5 years with a 12-year-old child to make a product, an athlete, a competitor. This competitor has the physical abilities to participate and to establish himself in the national team. Then the team has to win a quota for the Olympics. It's a long way. You go through physical, moral, psychic training, as well as through many workouts and a lot of diligence. For me, hard working is the most important thing in sports. Next is the desire for self-improvement and only then is the Olympic Games, to the Masters of Sports. All the people who work with you are extremely helpful – coaches, medical professionals, psychologists, physical training.

- Volleyball is a team game. How much do you have to overcome yourself in the name of the common good of the team?

- It's not a selfish game. I am amazed by my fellow athletes how they make the crosses only by themselves. With me, if the team members aren't here, I wouldn't go. The collective game wants casualties. Players must be a group of likeminded people who are respected, impress and know their place-then a team is made and then success is achieved. On the camp before the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 with the people of the national team we looked at eah other and we said: We have to deal with it. And it worked!

- What attracted you to coaching work?

- There's no better thing than being a contestant. You're cared for, people work with you. While the trainer is on the other side-you have to deal with 15-16 "Crazy heads". Coaching work is very difficult and ungrateful, but it is also the most important. Especially in child-adolescent preparation, when the characters and habits are formed. The sport and the coach teach you to be organized, because there is time for everything – for school, for training, for recreation, for free time. There's always time for sports for 24 hours.

- What would you advise future athletes?

- Motivation today is more difficult because there is already a lot of fun. But it all depends on the educators who work with the children-to convey the spark to them, to give them a good example. There is no greater motivation than information about successful athletes and high results globally. This should be motivation for young athletes and they want to reach such high peaks.

The interview is posted with edits by the author. Bulgaria had its own National Programs for involvement of youth and adolescents in sports. This was implemented by the largest non-governmental organizations for sport - National organization for support of the Defence - initial selection and preparation and Bulgarian Union for Physical Culture and Sport - development of high sports mastery. Apparently, coach Atanas Chitanov had noticed the necessary qualities in me because he did not allow me to stop the sports training.

- You took part in six consecutive Olympics, as well as in the alternative to the Druzhba Olympics tournament in Moscow, Russia, in 1984. How did the preparation go and how do you maintain such a good shape?

- The Bulgarian Union for Physical Culture and Sport and National organization for support of the Defence were civic organizations, but the system was on a professional level. We had everything we needed, we also worked with the best professional specialists on the different type of training. The Bulgarian Union for Physical Culture and Sport had highly qualified own centers and people, which allowed the sporting form to be maintained in a narrow and upward way. This means reliability and rentability of the preparation to achieve elite results and rankings. We have achieved uniqueness.

- You have placed 11 world (two for men) and 28 European (two for men) recordings in shooting with a rifle. You are multiple Balkan and Republican rifle recorder. You earn over 600 medals in sports competitions. You get the prize for the most accurate shooter on the Balkan Peninsula and the world's most prestigious shooter award in 1985. What's the secret of your success?

- As I said, Bulgaria stood behind us and gave us the best possible. We managed to thank ourselves in our own way. But! If I should raise the end of the curtain to the secret of success, it is locked in the system of preparation. It is possible for the athletes to be endlessly technically prepared in their sport and physically, but if the psychological preparation suffers, things are predestined. It is true that the chance is on the side of the well-prepared. "The Lord gives, but does not bring in the fold." Success does not fall from the sky.

- Which is the most memorable moment of your career?

- Of course, victory among men. Until 1980, the Olympic disciplines in shooting were male. It was good that they assumed "inferior" groups in the higher competition - that is, the considered weaker women, adolescents, girls could participate in disciplines of the stronger. After my double European championship title with two world and two European records for the men of Lviv 1979, with an improved five-point old record, and my championship title again for men in the Pre-Olympic Games in Moscow, things were predetermined. In the Olympic Games is 1980 in Moscow I reached 6th and 7th among the male competition, and the results from second to ninth place were the same, but the latest series were taken into account, central 10. The electronic equipment that is available today was lacking then, and since the next Olympic Games (1984), they have introduced Olympic disciplines for women, but have specifically banned the participation of women with men.

- Why should we train professionally? How would you stimulate young athletes?

- Why?! The answer may be only one - if you are looking for success. The other is hobby.

The fact is that sport is a social phenomenon. It has been found to have a positive impact on all real-life spheres. Why do we need to reopen the warm water, the wheel, and the chronology begin with a new one, in order to become famous ?!

Let's look at our own experience. Upgraded and modernized, our own Bulgarian system is undoubtedly the winning option. It is no coincidence that so many countries around the world have made their champions with Bulgarian coaches. I wish the young athletes a lot of success! They know that success comes with a lot of work and stubbornness, but let's notice that it is mostly related to the quality of the team of specialists. A good team saves time and effort. In fact, time is life!

The interview is published with edits by the author. I liked the collective ball game. The pursuit of improvement and of course the pleasure of winning!

- You won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Moscow, Russia in 1980. What are your memories of then?

- I remember the mood of the whole team. As a participant for the first time in the Olympic Games I can still remember the incredible organization. How we were met, the opening and the closing ceremony. The overall positive atmosphere and the sporting spirit were a driving factor in the quest for winning each match and seeking a medal.

- How is a successful team build?

- Only the team in which unity, collectivism and understanding rule can become successful. Basketball is an intelligent game. To be successful, you need to have many personal qualities. The ambition and the desire of each competitor to do the best for the team are crucial.

- How does the audience contriburte to good team play?

- The audience has always been the sixth player in one team. Good mood always helps for a relaxed and beautiful game. The support of the audience inevitably forces you to show the best you can - giving you wings!

- What are the advantages of basketball? Why should one be playing it?

- Like every collective sport, the qualities that basketball develops are complex. Tolerance, agility, rapid decision-making and judgment, discipline, organization, interaction, coordination, understanding, foresight are only some of the qualities that a good competitor develops and should have. These qualities, respectively, build valuable and successful personalities in the future. Sport is for health and positive emotions. With me started by participating in school championships. Then I turned to rowing, as with my fellow student we walked together to the Regatta Venue. I have been training since I was 19 years old. If one now says they have begun to professionally engage in sports at that age, they will think this person is crazy and it is too late.

- How did you reach the Olympic Games?

- With a lot of desire, with a lot of hard work and proving myself as a person who wants to be a professional athlete.

- What is the feeling of winning an Olympic medal?

- After winning the medal, the feeling is very pleasant - that you have done your job perfectly. You have to be there to feel it.

- You are the first Olympic champion from Plovdiv together with Stoyanka Gruycheva. How were you met in town after winning the medal? What was the atmosphere?

- After we returned to our hometown, people were very happy. The encounter was unbelievable. There was also a celebration. These pleasant memories remain forever.

- What is the most memorable moment in the process of winning the Olympic medal?

- The most pleasant feeling is when you climb the stairs for the awarding. Me and Stoyanka were so tired that we struggle to go there. We could not even smile, we did not realize what had happened. But when we heard the national anthem, my partner caught my hand and that was very memorable for me. In addition to this the Queen of England attended our awards, and the feeling was indescribable. Still, we knew we had raised the Queen of England.

- What does an Olympic medal bring?

- When you participate in the next Olympics, you just have to chase the top. Our second participation in the Olympic Games (in Moscow) was very difficult for us because we started training only a year before them. However, we already had families and missed races and preparations. But we succeeded because we worked, we did everything by ourselves. This second medal for me is much harder to win because it was related to personal and professional deprivation.

- How would you motivate young athletes?

- It is hard to motivate children. Yet there are young people who want to sport and achieve their goals. I feel sorry that for so many years there are no medals in rowing, it is noted that there is a back wave. Every profession requires dedication, labor, persistance, discipline, will to overcome yourself, set goals, and achieve them step by step. Let's hope that the old athletes will be an example for the young ones, who reminds them that everyone can, as long as he wants.

The interview is published with edits by the author. My begining in sport was relatively late - when I was 17, already in high school. But rowing allows you to start training at a later stage. Several years later, I was admitted to the national team and then began rowing professionally.

- What is the preparation for the Olympic Games?

- The preparation for each separate competition is individual and serious. European championships are every year and there is little rest from the training process. The Olympic Games are every 4 years and accordingly the efforts are greater. Preparation for them starts at least one year earlier. No matter the race's rank, you need a lot of workouts. In order to achieve high results, it trains much - both in time and quality.

- You are the first Olympic medalist in rowing with Siika Kelbecheva. Is it difficult to work in a team?

- No, it's not difficult, as long as everyone in the tеам comply the other. The principle is only one - each one to be taken into consideration. We and Siika worked easily. Yet the goal justifies the means, and when the goal of the two is one - it shows that everything can be achieved.

- What is the "burden" and responsibility of the medal?

- First, it brings satisfaction for the well-done job because the goal is justified. It also brings very positive emotions and this allows the rapid recovery of the body and the mind. The negative is felt only in years, and it is physical - the burdens from high and maximum physical efforts.

- What is your message to the future generation?

- It all depends only on them - the young people. If children are more and more involved in physical activity, medals will come. Now everything is static and the movement is limited, but if the right habits in the sport are built, the results will not be late. My message is: life is movement and movement is life.

* The interview is published with edits by the author. We also had a teacher who was in charge of the sport. I started practicing basketball and athletics, but suddenly I found myself on the volleyball playground and since then until the end of my sport career, even until 5 years ago, it was only that - volleyball.

- What qualities does the team play develops in a person?

- The team game builds discipline, order, accuracy - I have never been late for training or match. Most you learn is discipline and respect for your colleagues because it is a collective sport. It's hard to be in a team with another 15 different characters. The role of the coach is also important, who can also make the team members friends, to prevent any arguments or quarrels because that's how the whole team moves forward. I think it's harder to be in a team. In individual sports, if you are not able to overcome the challange, there is no one to help you. But in team play, if today is not your day and your colleagues play well enough, they can somehow compensate for your mistakes.

- How to get an Olympic medal?

- The secret is hard work, but a lot of hard work and lots of trainings. Sometimes they are 3 times a day and you have to come in addition. But once you see that success is coming, you are getting better, the desire to reach the third, then the second and the first place becomes even bigger. And when you start to achieve them, you continue to train even more to earn even more. At the 1980 Olympics in Moscow we did not get to gold but bronze. But that has not demotivate us - we became European champions in Sofia next year. In order to get things done, you have to train nonstop.

- What is the most memorable moment of your career?

- For me this is the European title in Sofia in 1981. My son was 6 years old, and the whole game he was on my father's shoulders. I looked at him from time to time and this gave me strength. And then we also played in front of our audience in Sofia. Half an hour after we won against the Russians I did not know where I was, the feeling is indescribable. I remember it like today.

- What is your covenant to the young people?

- Sport, sport, sport. The truth is in the sport. The campaign aimed at reaching young people at the age of 15 year. Twelve participants, representing the FC Spartak Plovdiv, took part in the meeting. They were informed about the activities of the Plovdiv Youth Centre as well as the future services and programmes that centre will be providing for them. Each participant was given the opportunity to share his opinion on what other services and activities may be provided at the youth centre.
Round Table on the topic “ Vision for the youth – let’s look in the same direction” http://youthcentre.plovdiv.bg/en/detail/9/260 Gocho Vassilev: Football is like a theater - if there are good artists, there is audience http://youthcentre.plovdiv.bg/en/detail/9/646
- What was the moment when you realized you wanted to train football?

- My mother was a teacher, and she wanted me to become an engineer, a doctor a person with a serious profession. She told me that she did not want "empty heads" at home, but I was drawn to football and started training in high school, I was in the Pirin team, where I was also a top scorer of the Southwest Group B. Then I went to Lokomotiv Plovdiv We had a very good coach - Dimitar Grigorov, as well as an assistant coach - Panayot Tanev, who were very busy with us. I scored a goal in my first match for Lokomotiv. Thanks to my hard work I could find my place in the team. When my mother came to watch me in a game and saw the people holding me in the air on their hands, she told me she had been glad that I had not listen to her, and that I continued to train football. She wanted me to have a degree in higher education, so I graduated in Higher Sport Institute and Higher Institute for Phycical Activity "Georgi Dimitrov".

- How does team play help build a one's personality?

- First of all, sport always teaches work, discipline, responsibility, being ethical and hardworking. And for the team - you need to work with the peole. As an example, the Ajax team in the 1960s, they were like a machine that was so well crafted and that is why they achieved a great success. The team needs to stick together and each one should get along with everyone- that is how big football is made. But it also takes a lot of work and a lot of running.

- How long is the way to the Olympic medal?

- The road is very long. You have to be persistant and always to be in good shape together with your teammates. Otherwise, with laziness it does not happen. In sports, if you do not work, you will not succeed. It gives a lot, but you have to be smart and hardworking. Otherwise, you remain on an average level. You should also strive for the heights. At the Olympic Games in Mexico in 1968, we had very good players, we had good leadership and great coaches, and so we succeeded. We could even get a gold medal, but in the unfortunate final match with the Hungarians, the judge put penalties on three people from our team. Still, when we took the silver medal, it was a great joy, and we all enjoyed it. Whenever you win, it's a joy.

- Does the audience you are playing influence the game? What is the feeling of the Olympics?

- Some players are embarrassed by the audience. But it does not bother me, it has to be called. I had experience since the derby matches in Plovdiv. It does not act mentally, it even motivates me. And at the Olympics - the stadiums are great, the acoustics are good, and there is a lot of cries, a lot of emotion.

- Which is the most memorable goal in your career?

- Every goal is nice and brings joy. Especially when it is on an international competition. I, for example, remember my goal against Juventus since it was at the 47th second since the begining.

- Today football is one of the most popular sports in Bulgaria. But it is noticeable that no high results are achieved. What do today's players need to be motivated and want to win an Olympic medal?

- Now, looking at the stadium there are not so many people in the audience, and I feel sorry. And with us, it was different. Today's footballers must show greater skill, and efforts are needed for this and there will be more interest by the audience. I want to tell young people always to work for improving themselves, not to be mediocre. The audience wants to see masters, to see dynamics, interesting situations. Football is like a theater - when there are good artists, there is numerous audiences. Whoever plays the role well gets the applauds, and who does not - it's cheering.

* The interview is published with edits by the author. Georgi Titjukov – mayor of Central District – was the official guest at the event. He greeted the youth centre team and all participants in the event. The Zumba dance club – led by its trainer Nataliya Boteva – took part in the celebration. Young people, guests and visitors joined the dances under the rhythms of Zumba.

In order to commemorate the International Youth Day the youth workers and Roma mediators have prepared a special programme with a number of interactive games, quizzes, a photo booth and a specialised info-stand, where young people could learn more about the activities of the youth centre. The winners, of course, received special gifts.
Improvement of the communication between the youth organizations and local authorities http://youthcentre.plovdiv.bg/en/detail/9/261 Peter Lesov: After my first race, I decided I did not get to boxing! http://youthcentre.plovdiv.bg/en/detail/9/647
- Why did you recognize boxing as a sport for you?

- The boxing began to develop in the town of Rakovski in 1972 under the leadership of Lyuben Gadzhev. Two of my cousins, Peter and Jordan Lesos, also trained. I was a little wild and the coach chased me for 2 years until I started with boxing. My first race was in Plovdiv and I have been a boxer for only a month. I lost 2 to 3 from my rival. And then I decided to give up and stopped going to workouts. Then the coach came to me and told me that I was chosen to compete for the Republican medal. When I heard about a medal, I started to work hard but without informing my parents. Maybe I was boxing for 5-6 month boxer when I took part in my first Republican Championship in 1974 and became a champion. I was awarded with the trophy for "The most fighting competitor". Then they printed photos in the newspaper. From there my parents learned about boxing. Since then, when I had difficult times when I wanted to give up, they were people who encouraged me to continue playing.

- You have won an Olympic medal when you were less than 20 years old, which makes you the youngest Bulgarian with such an award. How did you achieve it?

- This has to be experienced. It took a lot of hard work and a lot of hunger to keep 51 kilos. Most people think that it's hard to fight on the ring, but it's not as scary as weight maintenance. After I became a world champion, I have played in many tournaments. For two years I have no losts either in Bulgaria or abroad. People were even then seeing the medalist in me. At the World Cup I was in the best shape and I played with a European and world champion from Poland. I won. And I do not know what happened to Strandzha tournament - I had one opponent Dinko Vasilev. I lost then, and he won all three boxing mathces with knockout, and at that moment the terrible competition between us started. However he did not want to compete with me. It was good for us that we both were from CSKA. There were judges who then let us play with a player from Cuba. I beat him and Dinko lost. Then I beated him in sparring and there was no other way - it was decided. That was the start of my successful career - the World Championship, and at the Olympics I justified the expectations toward me.

- Do you remember the feeling of that time?

- Again I say - it has to be experienced, to be felt. You have no idea what is happening. Imagine the way the people meet you, how they enjoy themselves. Back then there was no money or prize, and the most important was the love of the people. Boxing was a popular sport. When I came here in Plovdiv, I could not take two steps on the main street without someone stopping me.The respect of the people gave me great pleasure.

- What responsibilities does the medal brings?

- After the medal you are afraid of losing, which also made me more ambitious - it made me train more and I did it. Immediately afterwards I became a European champion - 3 times in a row without any problem. Afterwards it's the world championship for men, but I did not won this because in Rakovski we played amateur football and I was badly injured. I missed a whole month that I could not train and get on my feet. I was then captain of the national team and did not want to participate in the European championship because I did not feel prepared. But Ivaylo Marinov said that if I do not play and he would also not be on the ring. So I was forced to go and lost for the first time in the first match. But after that I became European champion and took the Cup "Strandja". Just no one could beat me. But unfortunately I got hepatitis and stopped my career. I was at the age of 24. They offered me to be a coach for CSKA and the national team and so began with coaching.

- What's the difference between being a racer and being a boxing coach? Do they have any similarities?

- The first is that as a competitor you have your own responsibility and as a coach it's much harder. You are working to prepare your competitor. Many people tell me that I have very big requirements. Maybe because I achieved successes, I want everyone to be like me. Tension is much greater when you are a coach.

- What are the most important things young athletes have to follow in order to achieve high honors and secure success?

- If you want to be successful, you are restricted from other things, but it's worth it. Future and current athletes: hang in there, take sport seriousy so that you also achieve Olympic medals.

* The interview is published with edits by the author. How did you began rowing?

- It was by chance. Since I was very young I loved to play, to sport. I had good physical shape and I started training wrestling. But after a few trainings I realized it was not for me. My first coach, Georgi Uchkunov, was on a selective tour. He suggested to 3 boys of our class to attend the entrance exams at the sports school, but only I went. Even in the beginning, I had no idea what the canoe-kayak was. But I have always loved the water because the village where I grew up in is near the Stryama river and part of my time was playing games. And when I realized that the canoe-kayak was connected to the water, I liked it and this dragged me in. Perhaps fate has chosen me, and I have been purposeful and I have been looking to do things in the best way and to the end.

- What is the way to Olympic medal?

- In my time, things were more like a game. I have never loved to beat and maybe that's one of the things that led me to success. In principle, as a person I am very good and compassionate, but in the sport it is not so - it hurts me if someone defeat me. A great influence on me was that I started training in 1980, when Lubomir Lyubenov was already an Olympic champion and he was my idol. A role model, we all wanted to be like him - perhaps me more than others. That's how it all started - the first medal came from the Republican Junior Championship. The first European championship came. And despite the fact that I was 3 years younger than the other athletes, I qualified for the final and I was 9th. Then at the first World Junior Championship I became third, I went to the men and I was ranked third. There have always been good situations for me, but the gold medal has slipped. Even in 1986 I could become a world champion, but it did not work.

- Why is this diversion with the gold medal?

- I did not have enough experience, the weather conditions were very bad - I was a right rower and the wind was left. If it was quiet or with a favourable wind ... But it was not known how my career would develop if I had win at such an early age. I have also seen this as a coach - you are thinking you are great and this reflects negatively on your career. After this I went second, and then I was disqualified. Even they invented new rules in the canoe for me - to ride in the middle of the corridor. In 1988 I became third. Then I did not drive in my master discipline for one reason or another, but I do not want to go back so much as I competed at 1000 meters. I reached the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 - my first honors, which was straight to the point. Thanks to this I became so famous. The Olympic prize remains, it is remembered, and especially that mine were two. There fate helped me, it gave to me everything I had not done before.

- What remains hidden for society when winning a medal?

- What you need is to do what you like. I like the canoe kayak. Sometimes it was so difficult for me that I could cry. But I did it with love. And I think this is the formula for success in life - one should not think of what is deprived, what he loses, but to do what he likes. Then things are easier and achievable. For me, sport has always been a hobby, not a profession, because I have not pursued the material. I am grateful and happy that I have had the opportunity to get to the place that is right for me.

- You are the only Bulgarian with two gold medals from one Olympic Game. So far, no one has improved this achievement. How do you think young athletes should be motivated to achieve such high results?

- Everything is possible, there is nothing impossible. If we achieved it, others can also. When an athlete starts, it seems impossible. But on the way to the big win, every victory is important. If one begins to settle for the losses, this person settles for this that he/she would not reaching the highest place. Everything is step-by-step, persistence. Even when a person loses, they have to analyze themselves. Any loss can lead to great success when you withdraw the right conclusions.

* The interview is published with edits by the author. They conducted a non-formal educational activity with young people. The activity in Sadovo was about ways of managing aggressive behavior. In Saedinenie the topic of the non-formal educational activity was “The right to express my opinion”.
‘Stefan Karadja’ School was awarded gold medal http://youthcentre.plovdiv.bg/en/detail/9/263 Asen Zlatev: To succeed in sports, you need perseverance! Can not without a psyche! http://youthcentre.plovdiv.bg/en/detail/9/649
- What provokes you to get started professionally with weight lifting?

- By accident I came to the Sports School and I just went into the weightlifting group. Here, however, students struggled for high scores. The very preparation from this place brought me to a professional level. I just got to the best in the world. It was a great luck and a great chance for me. It was a pleasure to work with these people.

- Is it harder to win an Olympic medal than another competition?

- Everyone is better prepared for the Olympics, but maybe it's harder. This is because the Olympic Games are on every four years and are more rare than the other competitions. Also, the tension is getting worse for all participants. But because of these the Olympic medals are so valuable.

- And how did you handle the tension?

- I did not do much - Lord gave me a very good and helpful psyche. I'm just lucky in this regard.

- How much training is physical and how much psychological?

- Physical training is more practiced. Little is known about the psychic and therefore there is less emphasis on it. Otherwise, it should be as much physical preparation as mental training. There are basically three types of preparation - physical as technical-methodical, psychological - of consciousness, and the other is nutrition and recovery. These three things for the athlete are inevitable. In human life there is no physics without a psychic and psychic without physics. One is combined with the other and only then can we achieve a positive result.

- You have a lot of honors during your career. What is the secret always to maintain such a high level?

- The answer is very simple - persistence. Persistence in the broadest sense of the word - must be applied to everything we do. Everyday!

- You become an Olympic medalist at the age of 20. What advice would you give to future athletes?

- It is not necessarily every person at the age of 20 to become an Olympic medalist. This is not happening for a day- it should start as early as possible. It took me 9 years. I do not know how to motivate young people. We live in different worlds and do not know if my advice will be adequate to their world. It was quite different for us, the dimensions are different. Otherwise, young people for me are the people of the future and we need to learn more from them than they are from us.

- What is your covenant message to them?

- Sport is a miracle! What can be done with sport can not be done in any other way - even through work. Labor is irreplaceable. Work is irreplacable. It created the human being and will remain with him while he is. But withwork and with all the other activities, you have to do things in a certain way because you know it will happen only that. You are just guided by the result. And in sports you can choose the end result and the way you want to achieve it. Just like a sculpture that you can shape in the time you want, and in a way you choose yourself. At the same time, you combine what you want and what is useful for you.

* The interview is published with edits by the author. When I applied to school in Plovdiv, Mrs. Milka Kuleva came to the vocational school where I was studying and motivated me to start racing. Thanks to her persistence, I continued to practice this sport.

- Then how did you reach the Olympic medal?

- With lots of hard work and stubbornness. Continuous control meetings were held, thanks to which we succeeded. The training was very heavy, but we had the ambition to realize and present ourselves on high level. Perhaps the sport spirit led us so that we can qualify ahead. This has also helped us to make teams of boats to represent ourselves worthy of the world championships and the Olympic Games.

- What qualities should an athlete have to win an Olympic medal?

- Essentially, they need to have sport will, motivation for sport, sport malice, and a desire for realization. And a lot of hard work.

- Is it any different to win an Olympic medal than any other race?

- It's very different. At the Olympic Games you see people you can not see in any other place. While at the World Cup, each team's is housed separately in the Olympic town, absolutely all teams of different sports are in one place. You see sporting glory and you experience the ranking of all athletes. I remember that in the morning a general meeting was held, where representatives of Bulgaria took note of the performance of our athletes, they were celebrating the Olympic medalists and winners. It also had an effect on us. At the same time, the excitement was very great. Especially in Mont Real, which was our first Olympic Game. Maybe that excitement played a bad joke and we did not win the gold medal from rewinding.

- How do you achieve synchronization in the team?

- To make a big boat is much more complicated than a small boat because it consists of 4 people. And we were four completely different personalities. You must mach your personalities, then fit the technique of rowing - synchronization is very important. We all - and all four - have to race like one, and this is achieved with a lot of workouts and a lot of work. But in spite of everything, we succeeded.

- You have competed in both - boats of the pair and the four. Is there a difference?

- There is a difference. The partner with whom you will be is extremely important. After the Olympics in Montreal in 1976, Liliana, with whom we rowed, married. With her we had matched and we had manage to achieve common rowing technique. Then I competed with a girl from Levski and her mentality was a liitle bit more fragile than the mentality of a competitor should be, and that may prevented us from doing a good job.We did better at regattas and training, than at the World Championship. She just could not accept the fact that we could become the first or second one. I will not forget one of the world championship competitions - we were one of the biggest regattas, we were ahead of the Germans and she suddenly stopped. She could not imagine that we had beat them because they were invincible. To be a contestant is very important to have a stable mentality .

- What is your message to young people?

- Sport requires a lot of work, lots of deprivation, but it also gives motivation to life development. Sport teaches us to lot of hard work, fighting, overcoming all the difficulties that appear to you in life. It also builds the mind, a sense of self-preservation and development. I'm just asking them to go back to sports fields, even if they do not become big athletes - at least to be able to create a drive for victory. This will help them a lot in life.

* The interview is published with edits by the author. He came to my school, made tests related to athletic disciplines, and invited me to an exam at the sport school. In 1969 and 1970, they organized a group of high-level training. Now I know there is no such thing. During this training we were prepared for many disciplines such as athletics, gymnastics and others. During our first year we specialized, and I definitely got involved in the volleyball group. That's what brought me to volleyball - a purposeful selection.

- What are the advantages and disadvantages of the team game?

- The advantage of team play is that it is basically a model of life. The disadvantage is that it does not make you independent. Autonomous - yes, but not self-sufficient. The game disciplines you, teaches you to act correctly with colleagues.

- How is the emotion of winning an Olympic medal different from any other?

- The difference is enormous, as the Olympic Games are every four years and there are people from all sports from all over the world - the best examples. Contacts during the Olympics remain a memory in your for life time. There is no other such event. Other competitions are definitely more specific, as they are, for example, only for volleyball players.

- Can we say that it is the top of your career - to participate in the Olympic Games?

- I myself, am more ambitious than the Coubertin's motto "Participate." But it is not the only thing, to play and to win is something very great and I think that for an athlete the Olympics is a supreme achievement. I do not underestimate the World and European championships, but the emotion is different.

- Competitor or coach - which role do you like?

- If I was young - surely a competitor. Now I tell the children playing volleyball that if I were their age, I would have taken the libero position. At least I will not be changed because at the moment the competition for this position is not big. And if I have the opportunity to manifest myself now, I would become a coach. This is a completely different thing. Coaching is related to leadership skills, physiological compliance, workout arrangements, psychological impact on the contestants in a positive direction, and a number of similar things. Because of this and now at this age, I would become a coach.

- What is your covenant to young people? How would you motivate them?

Covenant sounds very pretentious. But I would tell them to be more brave. To have a realistic self-esteem that does not hinder them. The only advice I can give them and tell them is to be more humble in sports.

* The interview is published with edits by the author. It was a pleasure to interact with the weapons. My patriotic motivation must also be taken into account - to prepare myself properly for the protection of the Fatherland. That's why I chose shooting - it was just the sport I dreamed of since first grade. I managed to get into the sports school and started training.

- What is the "burden" and responsibility of the medal?

- When a Bulgarian becomes famous, he becomes the face of the nation. He must take this into account and always act properly, responsibly, and in no case to discredit themselves. The responsibility of the medal is great. It obliges you much.

- In 1981 you put an absolute record in your discipline - 600 out of 600 possible points. How is an excellent shape achieved in order to achieve excellent results?

- One year after the Olympic Games I set a record - 600 of the 600 possible in my discipline. I was getting ready for the Balkaniad in Sofia. I managed to achieve this result on a corridor that was central to the door. Then I was a regular student - I went to lectures and training. I just had accumulated training from the previous year. But in general, who has been in the great sport knows that, in order to achieve results you want, you have to overcome yourself. This means you have to bet on your instinct and preparation and wherever you can get something positive. That's how I achieved 600 out of 600. After a few years the targets were changed - they made them with smaller tens, but the last record was mine. It's still mine. Now this discipline is recorded differently. That's why there's a new record count, but they have not improved mine yet.

- Does sport help in life?

- Sport always helps in life. It was exactly the sport that made me a man. If it was not the sport, I do not know what I would be. Probably an engineer. I was still going to achieve something in my life, but I'm grateful to the sport for everything I've achieved.

- How would you motivate future athletes?

- The motivation for me was to be the best - not in the world but in Bulgaria. I reached this at the age of 19 and I maintained it for 13-14 years. I went through 4 Olympic cycles. Therefore, young people must necessarily want to be the best - at least in Bulgaria, and then to compete with the best of other countries who have the same motivation. Especially in our sport is like that in one competition participate at least half of the participants and they can become first. It's not like the other sports, two or three are the best, and finally the question is what medal they will take. In our sport everyone can become a champion. And if there are bad meteorological conditions - then the good ones are first. When everything is fine - there is no wind, no sun, no haze, the target is visible, you do not know who will win. It could win both a young man and a mature man. Bad weather separates men from children.

*The interview is published with edits by the author. But I did not have enough height - I was 1.38 meters, and then the requirements were at least 1.50 meters. However, at the exams I had passed successfully, I was noticed by the weightlifting trainer Gancho Karushkov. He told me to apply with bars. So I did.

- Is it harder to win an Olympic medal than another medal?

- It's not harder, but it's more important because the Olympics are once every four years and this is the biggest competition in the sports career. The world championships, as well as the European ones, are every year.

- What are the advantages and disadvantages of being a competitor or a coach?

- The advantage of being a competitor is that you only answer for yourself. To be a coach you must be both a psychologist and a parent - so you can answer for more people.

- To what extend is the preparation physical and to what psychological?

- Both are very important things. People are different - it depends on the person. You can do a lot with a psyche. There are many examples of people who are not talented, but when they put one thing in their mind for a task and that's enough. Physical training is also very important because if you have any restrictions in your movement or injuries the things can not happen. So the two types of training go side by side.

- How would you inspire future athletes and what are the qualities necessary for a safe success?

- Qualities are many. And how to inspire them? You need a goal. In life success depends on family, the close people who can direct you from an early age. As with us - we entered sport school at the age of 11. So by this time there must be some guidance. Under no circumstances it should be at all costs. I mean, if the parents were athletes, it does not mean that the children should be. But sport is a nice engagement.

* The interview is published with edits by the author. Then I entered the barracks and I became champion twice in the team tournament. Later, I came to the team of Lokomotiv Plovdiv, where I became a Bulgarian champion three times, followed by the European Championship in 1967, where I participated for the first time in such a great competition and I did not expect to qualify, but actually I won a bronze medal. In 1968, I also won a bronze medal at the Olympics in Mexico.

- Why did you choose boxing?

- My wish has always been to practice boxing and at the time only this has attracted me as a sport. Then I watched a movie, "Heavy Gloves," and I liked the main role of a boxer.

- What did you learn from boxing? What qualities did you develop?

- Many things. But what is most important is discipline.

- How does the preparation for a competition go?

- We were constantly in camps. When one camp ended, they let us rest for 4 days and then back to camp. After each of them we had competitions - most of them international. And I think this training helped me to perform well. Maybe that's why I was so long part of the national team.

- And what about the Olympic Game?

- The preparation was very good and we knew what we were preparing for. It does not matter whether you go to a competition, the Olympic Games, or just to a camp - you have to perform well. And we have to present Bulgaria perfectly! It was difficult, but we were always motivated.

- After your sports career ended, you become a coach. What did attaract you to coaching?

- There was nowhere else to go. I had to be a coach. What I had to do was to be a coach.

- How do you motivate young people to achieve high scores?

- I trained many guys and they were all good. I had a lot of champions, as well as the 2 nd and 3 rd places. What I always taught them was discipline. The most important thing to go up is having discipline . Without it nothing will happen. It is the only way to motivate yourself to win.

* The interview is published with edits by the author. I took part in the entrance exam with the desire to play basketball, but there was no class starting from the 8th grade. I presented myself well and I had two options - athletics or rowing. I chose the rowing. Perhaps for this choice also helped me the fact that at that time Vania Gesheva (who is also from Brestovitsa. She was already a Republican champion. This may have also motivated me to choose the water sport in front of athletics. This happened in 1976, and my life has since passed with rowing.

- You are the first Bulgarian world champion of the skiff. What is the feeling of being first?

- Being first in any sport of big competitions is unique. Skiff is a heavy discipline - it is different from collective boats. When you win the right to compete on a single boat, it is a great responsibility, as well as recognition of the work done and the results achieved. 1987 was very "strong" for the entire national team. I became a world champion, but we had two more championship titles and one third place.

- And then the Olympic Games. What is the emotion to win an Olympic medal?

- Anyone who participated in the Olympics will say that the emotion of being in such a place is unique. They have nothing to do with other sports forums around the world. From the arrival in the Olympic village to the closing ceremony - it's all unforgettable. The competition itself is not much different than the rest, but the atmosphere makes you feel different. When you compete and achieve success, you are happy. The feeling of satisfaction comes later, not the race itself. At the moment I was pleased to have achieved a good result, but the real emotion came when we returned to Bulgaria. When you are surrounded by loved ones, friends and even strangers who enjoy you, then you understand that you have succeeded.

- Which is the hardest time during a race?

- The race is not difficult. There I go to show how good I am. There is nothing more difficult than the training process. The race shows whether I have trained well, whether it was enough and how much I have been motivated. Competition has never scared me. I know that what I am capable of I will do it. It is a different thing what the others will do and how prepared I am. I'm giving everything, and what I'm doing right now is my top score. I do not regret. I can only draw conclusions.

- So, do you need mental training?

- Yes. Psychological training is extremely important, both in the preparation process and during the competition itself. In my opinion, the work of the psychologist with the contestants in the preparatory part would help them a lot to deal with the tension before and during the start.

- What does sport give to a person? Why should someone train professionally?

- I had a long and successful career and I can say I owe everything to sport. I can not be dissatisfied by the fact that all these years I have always been among the medalists. In practice, in my ten-year sport career I have no year without a medal. Rowing is an amateur sport and training professionally means giving all your energy both in preparation and during a race. You need to be committed to achieving even higher results. What sport offers to young people is a field of expression and many different possibilities. The discipline and the ability to mobilize in difficult moments are qualities that would give a good chance of realization in other spheres after the end of the sport career.

* The interview is published with edits by the author. How did it all begin?

- My story is slightly different, because I was involved in athletics as a child, and for the sports school I was directing to, I applied for this. But it did not happen to me and they transferred me to the kayak. At that moment, I had no idea what that sport was like. I started training, I liked it and things developed in a favorable way.

- Then how did you reach the Olympic Games?

- Very hard. With lots of work and deprivation. We were constantly in camps - there was no time for social life, for friends, for family. You are preparing only for the competitions and trying to be in good shape. Competitions are the most important, everything else is in the background, and this is quite difficult.

- How do you always motivate yorself so that the competition comes first?

- When you pursue a goal, you have to be motivated. If you are not motivated, you can not reach it.

- Is it harder to win an Olympic medal than another medal?

- It is very hard to win a medal at a world championship, but the Olympics is a huge forum - everything is very different, the motivation too. This does not mean that at the world championship you no motivation, but an event that happens once in four years and which is promoted worldwide, the responsibility is greater and with your participation you take a huge responsibility. You strive to achieve your goal.

- Does the medal bear responsibility?

- Yes, the responsibility after a competition is quite large, because you have to defend what you have achieved. You do not have to relax at all. It is hard.

- How do you handle having such a great responsibility?

- Over the years, you learn how to keep your psychic well. With each competition you are getting better and better. And even the body gets used to it.

- Which is the most memorable moment of your career?

- Winning the Olympic medal. Emotion can not be expressed. It must be experienced. At first you do not know what happened, and with every next moment you know what you have actually achieved. Experience is unique.

- What did sport give you and how would you motivate young athletes today?

- First, sport made me very responsible. I am accustomed of bearing responsibilities - when I start with one thing, I have to do it. Let the young people believe more in themselves. They should be more responsible and strive for the things they get together to make them all the way and not give up by the emotions.

* The interview is published with edits by the author. It provides numerous opportunities for young people to develop their skills and potential; it is a day when their achievements are celebrated and praised; it gives opportunities to young people to be actively involved in the life of the society. Furthermore, this day provides unique chances for young people to participate in the decision-making processes on local, national and international level.

The 12th of August strongly emphasises on raising the public awareness towards the challenges young people face today. After the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976, they took me to the national team. There followed a number of camps and my first World Championship in which I took part was in 1977 in Amsterdam.

- You have participated in both double and quadruple scull? How is the synchron in the team achieved?

- Yes, I have participated in a world championship of a double scull and most of the time I have been part of a quadruple scull, and I have completed a whole Olympic cycle (until the 1980 Olympics). First of all - we have four people in the team, with the boatman - 5. These are four different characters, four wild women, each with their own vision, with their pretention and whims. Synchron is achieved above all with tremendous work, discipline and great ambitions, and yet with a sense of understanding. There can be no winning by the team without understanding.

- What are the necessary conditions and qualities to win the Olympic medal?

- In order to win an Olympic medal, the conditions for good preparation must first be met. It requires the peace of every athlete so that the best can be given. There must be mutual trust in the team, and with the coach. There must be a goal. It takes a lot of work and persistence. I would add also devotion.

- You have a full set of medals from your five World Cup tournaments. At what cost were they earn?

- Above all, much work and discipline. Also, a lot of deprivations reflecting on relatives, family.

- What did the sport give you? What would you advise young athletes who want to do professional rowing?

- The sport gave me a lot. First - discipline, second - the orientation in understanding people, life, to know the difficulties and overcome them. It teaches me to struggle with life, with what I have set as a goal. And, above all, rowing taught me to love sport, because sport builds the person.

* The interview is published with edits by the author. What were your first steps in the sport?

- Before I started practicing kayak I tried to practice athletics, basketball. My two cousins, Haralan and Stefan Zaharievi, however, trained kayak. They brought me to the Regatta Venue. I liked it, and I started from the 4th grade to come with them. I just watched them training. And one day - I remember it very well because it was the first day of the school year, on September 15, 1966, before school I came to the Regatta Venue. Then George Uchkunov, a legend of Plovdiv sport, took me to a boat, made a tour in front of the ports, I signed a declaration that my parents agree for me to practice sport and so everything started. This was my first official training day. Since then, my whole conscious life has gone to canoeing.

- Do you remember your first big competition and how did you prepare for it?

- I really do not remember anything from my first big race. I only remember how I was preparing for it because everything seemed to me like a dream. Like every rookie I experienced it very emotionally, and from the first to the last meter I did not know what was happening. My first competition was the Spartakiada in 1969 in Plovdiv and I became second in a quadraple kayak. Since then until my last internal race there is no year I did not get on the winners ladder and without championship title for Bulgaria for "Trakia" club.

- You participated in two Olympic Games. Was there any difference in your preparation for one and the other?

- I did not participate in 2, but in 3 Olympic Games, in 2 of them in Montreal (1976) and in Moscow (1980) I was a competitor, and in Seoul (1988) I was coach in the women's division. The difference is because the Olympic Games are once every 4 years. This is the biggest sport forum, as everyone knows, responsibility and tension are much greater. At one place there are athletes from all sports from all over the world and on the one hand it is very interesting and on the other - very responsible and heavy. For this very reason usually at the Olympic Games happens the biggest surprises - because everyone wants to be the first, everyone is on the edge of risk and sometimes goes beyond it, which is already devastating.

- What's the secret of winning the Olympic medal? Is there a special formula?

- There is no formula. It only takes a lot of hard work, lots of stubbornness, lots of consistency, will, ambition - all the standard things. It may sounds a little cliché, but that's the true.

- What would you advise young athletes?

- Olympic medal is hard to win. Not everyone can win, but everyone has to strive for it. And not for another reason, but because sport is a model of life. It is a rehearsal, a preparation for life itself. Sport is one competition, one striving for self-expression and one great school. If a person is successful and realized in sports, I think they can succeed in any other sphere of life.

* The interview is published with edits by the author. Tennis, football, volleyball, basketball, martial arts, zombie, crossfit, english, robotics were presented under the guidance of experienced coaches.
Penka Stoyanova: Experts said that my unique shooting at the basket has chilled the opponent http://youthcentre.plovdiv.bg/en/detail/9/661
- When did you first touch a basketball ball? How did it all began?

- In 1963, in Karlovo I went to a basketball training session with my friend and classmate Yordanka Dobreva. Since the first time they showed me the basketball step, I did it. So I joined the girls' basketball team. I started participating in school competitions under the guidance of our teacher Stoyo Hubchev. On such a competition in the village of Rogosh, where referee Georgi Toshkov, who is from Plovdiv. When he saw me playing, he told Tencho Nachev that he had discovered a gold mine. Then they both persuade my parents to let me study in Plovdiv at the sport school. That's how my career started when it was still playing with leather balls, and sneakers.

- With the national team you are a silver medalist from the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980. and bronze at the Montreal Olympics in 1976. What are the similarities and what are the differences between winning the two Olympic medals?

- In the second year of my arrival in Plovdiv in 1966, I joined the national team for girls and in January 1967, at the age of 17, I became part of the national team of women under the guidance of Ivan Todorov. In 1976, with Ivan Galabov, we were one of the six teams of the first women's basketball teams at the Olympic Games. At the qualifications, we had equal points, but with one penalty, we won against Poland and so we ranked out of a total number of 24 countries. I personally was the best athlete - I was in the first place in a several indicators. They said I was a unique central player and thanks to my qualities the Bulgarian team win a bronze medal. The qualifications that took place in Varna for the Moscow Olympic Games were also very controversial. It is interesting the fact that, the second year in the team were included younger contestants, but the core of 7 girls was the same. Interesting is the story of the contested game with Yugoslavia - we won, of course, I scored 27 points during the match and in the last few seconds I scored and with that we won our silver medals. I should also mention that the technical-tactical training of the coach Ivan Galabov was great. For the first time in my sporting career, Galabov used such a tactic. I was not set to play in defense in the center of the area, but on the side as a wing, in keeping with the high centers of the Yugoslavs, and thus saved me for the whole game. Nobody expected such a tactic. Our silver medal from these Olympic Games is the highest honors of the Bulgarian team of international competitions and will remain in the history of native basketball. This year is celebrated anniversary - 100 years of basketball in Bulgaria.

- You are the first Bulgarian basketball player who play professional basketball abroad. What is the difference between playing at home and abroad?

- In my time basketball was not professional but amateur - the game continued for 2 parts of 20 minutes and we had no threes - shooting from far, which counts for 3 points. Basketball was then very athletic, technical with a tactical and technical view of the game. More attention was paid to collective basketball, using the individual qualities of the contestants. Professional basketball for women was allowed by the rules of the 1980 Olympics in Moscow. Until then, it could not be played abroad. Aldo Vital, secretary of FIBA and world hall manager, was the organizer of the Liliana Ronchetti Cup, where with the team of Maritza (Plovdiv) we were finalists 2 and 3 times champions (in 1971, 1972 and 1974) . Then he invited me to go to his team with girls which was formed in Italy (there was organized the first professional women's league). In my opinion, my sport career ended after the Olympic Games in Moscow. That's why I spent two years in the team of Vitali - "Roma", by putting on my competitive qualities, I gave these young girls my experience, spirit, character, will to win, the regime, the responsibility, the relations between the athletes and the coach, which is really important in one team. 7 girls from this team of were also in the national team of Italy. In 1983 William Jones Grand Prix, we ranked second with Italy's second national team. I could not stay there because there was political trouble. After returning to Bulgaria in 1983, these girls became champions of Italy, the champions of Europe and the "Ronchetti" Cup. In the Italian press it was written that I am like the team's flag of the team. The coach Gino Minervini , said my shooting was unique - chilling the opposing team.

- What did sport give you and what it takes from you? What is the sum of all the high awards during your career?

- I would say that sport did not take anything from me, it gave me. I had written a composition on the subject "What I Want to Become" in high school and I mentioned there that as a basketball player I want to compete for the national team and to bring glory to my country. I had a goal and a dream - I have always followed them and prospered. I have not lost anything, the awards I have received are the fruit of my labor, responsibility, faith, self-confidence.The sport has shaped me as a person. I had the opportunity to see other countries that, because of world politics, people were not able to participate. I am grateful to the coaches, the people around me, my parents, because they found the courage to let me study in Plovdiv.

- You are included in the FIBA list of 35 athletes who contributed to the development of world basketball in the second half of the 20th century. What would you advise young athletes today so that basketball develop?

- To rely on themselves, but also on the coach and the rest of the team. The young athletes must also read, educate themselves on psychology, physiology, history of sport with which they have decided to deal - what are their possibilities according to the height, and also to be aware on your position on the field. I see that nowadays for the young people basketball is a power-athletic-technical sport. They are making it look like an attraction, they are into the technique they want to show. But if they do not score, where does the efforts go? Every basket is important, every point ... And I think this is now a little forgotten or neglected because of the attraction. That's why many big teams do not achieve their high goals. For example, at the Olympic Games they said the Bulgarian team has an extraordinary central striker, despite its low height, with qualities that every coach wants to own in his team. The Italian press wrote that I am like the flag of the team. It is important to be able to work in team. Also use your strong qualities to develop your weaker ones. I have always watched what others do, so that to use their qualities so that I can be like them and be like a team to have syncronization. There also could be idols, but the idols are till certain time. When you go to great sport, you have to play for yourself.

The Plovdiv Youth Centre team was happy to welcome fifteen school principals and counselors at an official meeting http://youthcentre.plovdiv.bg/en/detail/9/210
The Plovdiv Youth Centre team was happy to welcome fifteen school principals and counselors at an official meeting that took place on the premises of the youth centre. I started with my personal coach Marin Marinov. I met him a few years earlier, as I was a classmate of his daughter. He knew me, my personality, that I was stubborn, he saw my skills from a coaching point of view. He invited me to apply for the sport school and accepted me. I wanted to train because I lived 50 meters from the sport school. I have felt the sporting atmosphere as well as the atmosphere of the old and the new Regatta Venue. And I've always loved the water.

- What's the secret of winning more than one medal in one Olympic Game?

- What helped me mostly was my coach. The secret is may be that the more a person is wild in a certain situation, he must be more modest and suffer deprivation in other to reach the great peak. The deprivation consists of regime, food, sleeping, keeping the whole training, prepared by a team, plan. A strong psyche is most needed, because the competition is huge. Here most boats go to a photo finisher and it all depends on ten thousands of the second and ten hundreds of the second.

- How do you mentally deal with the losses?

- It is difficult. Then the whole race is drawn, you see where you are losing, the intermediate times are watched, you work on them so you do not lose in the given part of the discipline or the distance. You train your weak part so you can make a better performance at the next race.

- What is the emotion of victory?

- I, personally, when I won, I have never showed emotion. I feel it after 2-3 weeks, analyzing the whole competition, feeling the strength and the essence of what I have done.

- Is there any difference between earning an Olympic and another medal?

- Maybe people are seeing the Olympic medal to be more worthy. But for me, the work, commitment and responsibility of each competition are the same.

- Which is the hardest moment in a competition?

- As the competition starts. Once you start, it is very important that you can gather your thoughts and spirit to be yourself and to show what you are capable of. Physical and mental preparation are also important.

- What are the advantages and disadvantages of being a competitor and being a coach?

- The advantage of being competitor is that the a whole team takes care of you - a masseur, a rehabilitator, a doctor, a coach of a unit, senior coach and federation leadership. Everything is provided to you and you only have to do it, and the team that works with you can correct your mistakes. Coaching is harder. When I was a senior coach, I cared about 35 athletes for four and a half years. The responsibility is great. In the evenings, you can not sleep, you think, analyze, keep notes, talk to the contestants so you can improve the results. You experience everything with them - which is both sweet and very difficult. But after every difficulty, the sweetness of life always comes.

- How would you motivate young people today?

- I'd tell them to restrain themselves and to be more patient, to put computer technology down. To rely on the mind, the psyche, and the desire of the heart. I wish them to be healthy, perseverance and patience.
A meeting with young people aged between 16 and 18 years old http://youthcentre.plovdiv.bg/en/detail/9/212
A meeting with young people aged between 16 and 18 years old was held in Youth Centre Plovdiv on 29 January 2016. Therefore, our aspiration to educate children with understanding, empathy and mutual assistance also includes the effort to overcome this pattern.

This is often a step that parents / teachers underestimate, and it plays a key role in how we respond to emotionally challenging situations.

How to deal with this pattern is one of the questions of the evening.

On the other hand, when choosing to connect with children, we choose to support them to feel their inner motivation. The discipline we would like to manifest much more easily follows internal motivation rather than persuasion.

That is why the other questions of the evening will be:

How can we encourage children in a way that links them to their inner motivation?

How do we connect with children in situations where their behavior is not consistent with what we would like them to do without punishments?

How do we invite co-workers with their children? And how is co-operation a natural child of the drive to contribute to family / class / class welfare?

As it becomes clear from the description, the evening is appropriate for parents as well as for teachers / educators.

The evening includes a brief theoretical presentation of the non-violent communication method and demonstration of the practice of the emotional conversation and gives a personal experience for each participant.

When: February 22, 2018, 18:00 to 20:00

Where: Youth Center Plovdiv

Lecturer: Emilia Ilieva

Hosted by: Youth Center Plovdiv

Prices: BGN 30 - single participation, BGN 45 for a family / partner couple or for two representatives from the same school.
