Between 3-6 June 2022 Municipal Enterprise “Youth Centre Plovdiv” will organise an International Youth Festival. The festival will be a special type of celebration for young people and at the same time a recognition and respect of the efforts of those working with and for them. The festival is open for representatives of youth centers and organizations at national and international level. During the festival, participants will have the opportunity to present and promote their work.
The main aim of the festival is two-folded. It will engage young people in discussion and activities on topics relevant for them, while at the same time will provide the practitioners with the space to test, develop and upgrade their work practices and concepts and to go along the lines of consolidating their efforts for the recognition of youth work.
The vast topic of youth work will always be on the agenda. This became clear also during the Third European Youth Work Convention, held last year. In the declaration, which is result from one of the most massive events in the field of youth work, proposes several priority areas. Among the priorities the search for a common direction of the practitioners in youth work could be identified. In order to unite the efforts of those working with young people and to create a space in which they can share, develop, upgrade and enrich their practical knowledge, the educational team of "Youth Center Plovdiv" will transform one of its successful practice from 2017 into an international youth festival.
All interested to engage in the activity are more than welcome to do so. Municipal Enterprise “Youth Center Plovdiv” will cover the expenses for travel, board and lodging.
