Celebrating the International Day of Tolerance with the municipal youth club Innovator Hisarya

Every year on 16 November we celebrate the International Day of Tolerance. A very special day in which we remember the value of respect, acceptance and understanding of the rich diversity of cultures in our world, of all forms of self-expression and ways of manifesting human individuality.

On this holiday, we were visited by our friends from the Municipal Youth Club Innovator Hisarya. The young people conduct various trainings for their peers in the schools of their city and prove by their example why it is important to be an active citizen. Because of their unceasing enthusiasm for learning new things to multiply later, our education team conducted non-formal activities that were tailored to the needs of the youth themselves.

In the two-day training, the participants embarked on the topics of tolerance, volunteering, presenting and planning and organizing an educational activity that will be useful to them in their work.

They went through the training modules, participating both individually and in groups. They had the opportunity to share their experience and learn from that of our team.

The skills they acquired and improved were teamwork, critical thinking, time management, holding the audience's attention and organizing an activity.

The training is realized as part of the project "Youth Centre Plovdiv - a powerful factor for local development" under the program "Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups, financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021.
