A bit more about non-formal education:
Municipal Enterprise "Youth Centre Plovdiv” provides specialized programmes and services for young people aged 15 - 29 years. The centre’s team consists of youth workers and Roma mediators, who are trained by experts of the Council of Europe for implementing activities in the field of youth work. As a result, a wide range of training modules, based on the non-formal methodology, has been developed.
Non-formal education is purposeful learning that takes place in a diverse environment. It is voluntary and based on learners and their individual needs. A number of key competencies and skills supporting the personal and professional development of the participants are developed thanks to the non-formal education.
The main non-formal education modules in which young people have the opportunity to participate are in the field of civic education and human rights, nonviolent communication, overcoming aggression, career guidance, healthy lifestyle.
