April 23 – World Book and Copyright Day – we celebrated with a visit to the Ivan Vazov Elementary School and the Atelier Literary Workshop club. The meeting was spent reading literary excerpts from the ninth-graders’ favorite books.
The Calliope Youth Literary Club celebrated the day appropriately on April 27, in the cozy atmosphere of the Library hall. The youth had prepared a literary reading, during which the poems of Elisaveta Bagryana, Petya Dubarova, Pencho Slaveykov, Peyo Yavorov, Blaga Dimitrova, Yordan Yovkov and Hristo Smirnenski were read, as well as original texts created by them. The works of the club participants proved that the literary spark is alive and is passed on with passion between generations.
