We sent off the month of March with the great youth initiative "School is looking for talent" in the city of Sopot. Its organizers were the active students Lora Vasileva and Delko V. Their idea was to collect funds to support the treatment of little Milen Nikolov from Karlovo, who needs a stem cell transfusion. The young people managed to make this possible by creating a charity show with the participation of students from the two high schools - Gen. Vladimir Zaimov Professional school and Ivan Vazov High school in the city of Sopot and nearby settlements.
The performances were in three categories. As "solo performances" we heard the magical voices of Marianna Ivanova, Lilian Chokova, Siana Kakanasheva, Raya Malakova, Gabriela Genova and Gabriela Shumanska. In the category of vocal-instrumental formation, Almadin presented their performances, as well as the rock groups The Newbies and Kristalni dushi. The cheerleaders and representatives of Kopsis, ensemble Rozova Dolina, 11 E and the participants in Greek dance gave us their performances in the dance formation category. We also witnessed a special, very emotional theatrical performance.
Like every competition, there was a jury with expert members in the various categories - Dalia-Nikol Urumova - opera singer, Alexander Dimitrov - choreographer and Rumen Stoyanov - actor. Each of the participants received a motivating comment from the jury and a prize from the organizers.
And finally, the biggest winner was little Milen Nikolov, for whom the sum of BGN 3,080.93 was collected. It will be donated for the next two stem cell infusions that are needed.
Once again we express our gratitude to the Municipality of Sopot, the directors of the two high schools in the city of Sopot and their colleagues, to the team of the People's Community Center Ivan Vazov - 1871 – Sopot and the great professionals from the sound studio who supported the realization of this initiative.
