On September 12, during an official meeting, elections for chairperson and deputy-chairperson of the “Youth Council Plovdiv” were held. The five candidates, who took part in the public debate and presented their ideas for the development of the youth community in our city awaited the council members’ votes to determine the new steering council. The vote was extremely contested and led to a runoff between the two candidates with the highest score - Mariana Goranova (with 38.1% of the votes of the members) and Simeon Markov (with a result - 23.8% of the vote). The final vote determined a clear victory for Mariana Goranova, a student from the Professional School of Electronics, with 76.2%, who will lead the Youth Council Plovdiv during the next year. Alex Ivanov and Petya Boekova took the last seats on the new steering council after the elections of a deputy-chairperson. The election process was organised by the mediators of M.E. "Youth Centre Plovdiv" Katya Krivcheva and Nikolay Nikolov.
