💡The youth initiative "Crypto 101: Training for the Future" took place on September 11. Our guests from South Korea, together with young people from Plovdiv and the region, embarked on the topic of cryptocurrencies and the need for their appearance in economic life. The history of the most famous cryptocurrency - bitcoin - has been traced. Its characteristics, features and comparisons with traditional finance were presented. Despite the seemingly complicated topics, the initiators Ivan and Dimitar - highly interested and inspiring with their youthful enthusiasm, used the methods of informal education and showed the importance and role of financial literacy in the life of every person.
🔎 The guest speaker at the event was Lilia Zhekova - professor of Finance at Plovdiv University "Paisiy Hilendarski" and an expert on the subject of cryptocurrencies. She presented the participants with an application through which she simulated the process of buying and selling bitcoins through another virtual decentralized currency.
