Five candidates from three different Plovdiv schools took part in the chairmanship competition Mariana Goranova and Alex Ivanov (from Professional School of Electronics) Simeon Markov (from “Ivan Vazov” Language High School) and Teodora Toporova (from "Paisiy Hilendarski" High school). They took part in a public debate led by the mediators of M.E. "Youth Centre Plovdiv" - Katya Krivcheva and Nikolay Nikolov. The young people compared their views about Youth Council Plovdiv development, the implementation of youth policies in our city, the student councils’ role in the youth community, preserving close communication with the management of the educational institutions. The debate is one of the main democracy tools, which enables to take informed decision.
The activity was held as part of the project "Youth Centre Plovdiv - a powerful factor for local development." under the programme “Local development, poverty reduction and enhanced inclusion of vulnerable groups” funded by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021.
