Young people from the Economist's Club take bold steps into the depths of everyday and current financial issues. They debate, analyze and arrive at building their position and opinion regarding the economic situation in the region, the country and the world.
Together with the participants in the club, our colleague Nikolay Nikolov continued the topic of economic development and opportunities provided by the business environment in the Plovdiv region. The young people found out the reasons why our city is considered the most economically developed region in the country, getting to know some of the biggest companies in various sectors in the area.
During the second meeting in April, the young economists reflected and discussed how such a factor as a military crisis affects the economy of the host country, on the one hand, and on other countries around the world, on the other hand. The discussion and group work focused on the consequences for Bulgaria of the war in Ukraine and the search for possible solutions for a way out of them.
On April 17, a debate was held with the participants of the Club on the topic "For or against Bulgaria's entry into the Eurozone". The person responsible for the activity was the intern Aleksa Dimitrova, who introduced the young people to the topic and commented on the benefits and potential threats of our country's membership in the economic and monetary union. After a short time for preparation, the young economists started the debate, through which they defended the respective position on the topic and showed a rich common culture and financial literacy.
