Educational campaign "In Action for Reaction"

On 17.01, the educational campaign “In Action for Reaction” dedicated to Human Rights was held at the ME “Youth Center Plovdiv”. Participants with different experiences and perspectives on the topic gathered. The aim of the event was not only to increase knowledge about human rights, but also to stimulate dialogue and empathy through interactive experiences and case studies.
The beginning was set with a creative task - on a large canvas, each of the participants expressed their understanding of human rights through a drawing or symbol. The second part of the activity aimed to create a sense of connectedness and empathy. Everyone was given the opportunity to complement the drawing of another participant, adding their own interpretation. This process not only expanded the understanding of human rights, but also created a collective picture that unites different perspectives. This prepared the participants for the main part of the meeting - writing letters and joining the Amnesty International campaign - “Write for Rights”, which aims to achieve quantitative pressure on the authorities that have restricted and violated the rights of people from different parts of the world. Part of the program also included an online participation of Evgenia Bernstein, who is part of the Amnesty organization and told about her in more detail.
At the end of the event, after the participants reviewed the cases and wrote letters, they each chose a thematic quote that is an expression of their experience during the activity and their perception after it.
