ME Youth Centre Plovdiv starts training for students, part of Student Councils/Parliaments on the territory of Plovdiv and the region.

The main objectives of the training are:

• to clarify the nature and role of student self-government;
• to support the development and functioning of the Student Council/Parliament in the respective school;
• to assist in the process of planning, organizing and implementing specific activities and events;
• to generate ideas for future activities;
• to participate in the process of building a picture of the needs and requirements of the respective student community;
• in the absence of the existence of a Student Council, to support the creation process.

The training is implemented within 6 training modules:

Topic 1. Current picture of the Student Council/Parliament.

Topic 2. Nature and functioning of the Student Council/Parliament.

Topic 3. Study of needs and wants of school students.

Topic 4. Forms and tools for organizing Student Council activities.

Topic 5. Celebrating an international/national day.

Topic 6. Planning, organizing and implementing a Student Council/Parliament event.

Any director, teacher, pedagogical advisor, school psychologist or student can request participation for their school in this registration form.

A representative of the educational team of the Centre will contact the applicants, fixing the details of the organization of the training.

Location:

- in the specific educational institution - in the field;

- in the hall of the Youth Centre next to the Rowing Base.

Duration of the training program:

- intensive - 2 meetings within 1 week - i.e. 3 weeks in total;

- ordinary - 1 meeting within 1 week - i.e. a total of 6 weeks

The specific day and time range of conducting is determined according to the schedule and the workload of the students in the educational institution (it is possible to conduct the classes both on weekdays and on weekends).
