On 7 March the first meeting of the Month of Folk Dances - a youth initiative - was held.
Young people took part, who were informed about the characteristic features of the Thracian and Rhodope folklore regions and learned two new hora - Pravo horo and Svornato horo. Some of the participants had never danced, but proved that with persistence and desire, anything can be achieved.
The initiator of the activity, Viktoria Popova, shares: "Folklore is wealth... it is magic that has the ability to ignite love for that... native, Bulgarian, ours."
The next dance meetings will be held on 14, 21 and 28 March (every Tuesday of March) starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Meteora hall at the Youth Centre Plovdiv.
Anyone who wishes and has not yet attended can join by filling out the following registration form: https://rb.gy/kdenzo
