The second group of participants in the “Young Economist” training program put an end to an unforgettable adventure!
During the month, young people from Plovdiv and the region (Stamboliyski, Hisarya, Skutare) went through a series of interactive trainings on the importance and the role of financial literacy in the life of every citizen. They have acquired skills for managing their personal budget, how and how much to save, where to invest their available funds, how to control their expenses for the month in the most effective way possible.
At the same time, the participants reached the "golden rules" in taking out a loan and touched on the nature and role of the pension and insurance system.
Discussions on study cases have built a solid foundation of the participant’s financial culture and prepared them for real situations they will face in their daily lives.
Financial literacy, as one of the leading skills of the new age, is a prerequisite for building responsible and active citizens, who develop themselves personally and professionally.
The training program was held as part of the project "Youth Centre Plovdiv - a powerful factor for local development." under the programme “Local development, poverty reduction and enhanced inclusion of vulnerable groups” funded by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021.
