In the period from November 27 to December 1, 2023, the team of the Municipal Enterprise "Youth Center Plovdiv" and the approved candidates were part of the youth international exchange in the city of Lisbon, Portugal. The main objectives of the visit were to establish partnerships between youth organizations and associations and to exchange good practices and ideas.
A meeting was held with the Lisbon Youth Center, which, like our Youth Center, has been awarded a Quality Mark by the Council of Europe.
There, the group took part in an informal activity aimed at getting to know each other and the representatives of the home team. An interactive presentation was made, revealing the mission and vision of the Center. The young people also looked at the material base and found out more about the main educational activities.
Participants also received more information about the organizations AID GLOBAL and DYPALL, which work directly with and for children and youth and are housed in the Lisbon Youth Center. In addition, the group visited the following organizations and associations: Rato - whose main activity is social inclusion through information and communication technologies, Lifeshaker - dealing with reducing poverty and involving children and youth in various creative and charitable initiatives, Jamor National Sports Center - including football stadium, indoor swimming pools, fitness center, laboratory for specialized tests, athletic hall and running track, etc. and AJUDE - dealing with charity.
