The year 2022 is coming to an end. For us at the Municipal Enterprise Youth Centre Plovdiv, it was filled with many emotions and experiences, which we want to tell you about.

One of the events that we are very proud of was the visit of a commission from the Council of Europe. The main goal was to discuss the development of the Center based on the guidelines given by the experts in 2017. In addition, the committee was also here to decide whether to extend the period in which the Centre is a holder of the Quality Label.*

After a two-day meeting and discussion, it was decided that the Quality Label of the Youth Centre Plovdiv was renewed until 2025.

*The label is awarded to youth centers in Europe based on a set of criteria, including accessibility of the infrastructure and facilities of the centers and the quality of the educational programs implemented and the services provided for young people.

This year, we held over 100 educational activities, including youth initiatives, informational meetings and trainings in Plovdiv and small towns in the region, youth and educational forums, seminars, charity bazaars, etc. In them, we attracted more than 1000 participants who gained new knowledge and improved their skills on a variety of topics.

We also managed to carry out several international activities, including: 4 youth exchanges in Portugal, Ireland, Slovenia and Spain and 1 in the city of Plovdiv with young people from Norway, a festival with over 30 organizations with youth, volunteer and creative activities at local, national and international level , working visit to Norway, participation in training for youth workers from the teams of centers with the Quality Mark, participation in a working meeting of the management teams of the youth centers with the Quality Mark in Finland.

And in the past year, sports continued to be the focus of our work. With the support of the Municipality of Plovdiv, we created the one-of-a-kind website "Sports Museum" https://sportsmuseumplovdiv.bg/bg In it you can find information and photos about sports personalities, events, sports and bases in our city. In the coming months, we will tell you about more and more events and personalities on the site, aiming for it to become a real asset with an online archive, as well as with a view to the future talents of Plovdiv and the region.
