"Yesterday" was the case study of our meeting this Saturday at the Calliope Literary Club. The book and the film of the same name, which is based on it, took us to the school atmosphere of the 1960s. Together with the young people, we went through the eternal theme - love, compared friendship, relationships and communication between students then and now. How useful are modern communication and information channels and how much do they hinder full communication? Is the time of true friendship, of sighs or of escaping the system because of a kiss, going away? And what happens when we "fall out of the rye" - will our tomorrow be as rosy as we believed it would be yesterday? More worrying questions with unclear answers for tomorrow.
Thematically, the meeting took place against the backdrop of the timeless Beatles, because “…Yesterday love was such an easy game, and now I need a place to hide. Oh, I believe in yesterday…”
