In July, the team of the Municipal Enterprise "Youth Center Plovdiv" held non-formal activities with the children and youth from the "Summer Academy for the Children of Hisarya".
We started with familiarization activities and then dived into the depths of non-formal education. We provoked them to empathize with being a volunteer, to recognize different types of emotions and the ways to express and deal with them, and to unlock their creative attitudes towards creative thinking.
During our next meeting, the group skilfully participated without even suspecting that in doing so they were mastering their communication skills. We practiced different techniques on how to better present ourselves, how to analyze our audience and organize the information we present. In addition, we discovered together how important body language is and how to effectively use it in our daily lives. We continued with an open discussion about the reality and environment that youth find themselves in today and how important and meaningful it is for all of us to be active citizens.
Participants were rewarded for their active participation and mastered knowledge and skills during our enjoyable and fruitful meetings.
The activity is implemented under the project "Youth center Plovdiv - a powerful factor for local development" under the program "Local development, poverty reduction and improved inclusion of vulnerable groups", financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021.
