Non-formal activity with youth from the village of Shishmantsi

For several months, the team of ME Youth Centre Plovdiv conducted non-formal activities with the youth and children from the village of Shishmantsi.

During the meetings, the main topics they worked on were part of the Friends of Nature handbook. It was created by the Centre's educational team and contains non-formal activities related to nature and the world around us.

The goal was for the young people to learn about the preservation and care of the world around them, and then to pass on what they learned to their peers and their younger friends. This happened as they entered the role of trainers and mentors who presented the new knowledge through their perspective.

In December the children and young people gathered for their last meeting of the program, through which they recalled everything they had learned so far, and for the finale, the space was filled with Christmas cheer, dancing, smiles and dreams for the coming year.

The Youth Centre Plovdiv team is thankful to the leader Iliya Rusev of positive children and youth for the hospitality and warm welcome during all meetings!

The activity is realized as part of the project "Youth Centre Plovdiv - a powerful factor for local development" under the program "Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups, financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021.
