In the period February 21-23, informal educational activities were held in the building of OP "Youth Center Plovdiv" with young people from the city of Kardzhali as part of a project by Association "Omega" – "The Voice of Kardzhali - Youth Ideas for Civic Engagement", part of the National Program for the Implementation of Youth Activities under Article 10a of the Gambling Act (2023-2025) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
In the training, conducted by the educational team of Foundation "Garden of Knowledge", the young participants went through a series of activities for getting to know each other and team bonding and identified the main community issues they would work on.
Through discussions and experiential activities, they explored opportunities for their active involvement in public life. They discussed the role of volunteers, as well as participation in and organization of volunteer actions and initiatives.
A part of the training covered the topic of "Leadership", where they went through the qualities and skills of a leader.
During the training, they explored "The Dark Side of Social Media" thanks to the amazing Iliyan, Kaloyan, and Stoyan.
They turned "ideas" into "youth initiatives" and created a plan on how to implement them.
We summarized everything learned so far and sent our wonderful young participants back to their hometown. We hope they have rediscovered their "superpowers" and will use them very soon to implement successful youth initiatives.
