Nonformal educational activities with young people from the town of Kardzhali - 7-9.02.2025

In the period 7-9 February, informal educational activities were held for youth workers from the city of Kardzhali in the building of the OP "Youth Center Plovdiv" as part of a project by the OMEGA Association - "The Voice of Kardzhali - Youth Ideas for Civic Activity", part of the National Program for the Implementation of Youth Activities under Art. 10 a of the Gambling Act (2023-2025) to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The training, which the educational team of the "Garden of Knowledge" Foundation conducted, was on the topic: "Democratic Perspectives".
On the first day, the participants went through group bonding activities, discussions, creative processes and self-expression. They shared their strengths and exciting moments in their profession, as well as the challenges they face.
On the second day of the training, they held a discussion about formal and informal education, went through simulations and role-playing games for youth work at the local, national and international levels. They discussed teaching methods in a school environment and those in an out-of-school environment.
During the last day, the training was extremely fruitful and interesting. The participants took on different roles to examine the work with vulnerable groups and the methods used in it. The methods of art therapy and forum theater were used to go through an experiential moment and to obtain valuable resources and ideas for our work with young people.
