🔎On June 20, the eleventh edition of the traditional Educational Forum "Beyond the Form: The Power of Impact" was held at the Municipal Enterprise "Youth Center Plovdiv". Directors, teachers, pedagogical advisors, psychologists and professionals from educational and social institutions from Plovdiv and the region participated in it.
💡The forum started with familiarization activity and predisposing of the participants. The work and mission of the Plovdiv Youth Center were presented, as well as the upcoming educational activities. In addition, an interactive session was conducted on the effects of addictions among young people and the difficulties their parents and teachers face in trying to take measures to deal with the problems. The topic was developed and continued by guest speakers, representatives of the Plovdiv Regional Health Inspectorate, who provoked a reaction and gave publicity to today's addictions. This was followed by a short survey through the "World Cafe" method, aiming to provide answers and connect the various educational institutions with the inspection specialists to work together for a healthier and wiser generation.
📲In the next session, the participants mastered many digital tools such as Canva, Mentimeter, Wordwall, Padlet and others, which they can apply in the educational process according to the needs of the children and youth they work with on a daily basis. Everyone touched the process and felt the excitement of creating multimedia educational content.
💸In the last topic of the day, the group dived into the world of financial literacy and personal finance management. Through the experiential method, everyone was able to encounter the market economy model using their personal experience and knowledge from their own households. The activity aimed to provide participants with a conceptual framework for the role of financial literacy in the educational process.
🎯The forum ended with feedback, new contacts and ideas for future joint events.
