Presentation of the book The Golden Pages of the Plovdiv Rowing

On 6 October 2022 a formal event was held at the Municipal Enterprise Youth Centre Plovdiv, at which the latest book of the sports journalist Iliya Kisimov - The Golden Pages of Plovdiv Rowing was presented.

For 8 years the Centre's team under the leadership of Dimitria Todorova (D. Todorova) worked on the implementation of several ideas related to the coverage of the successes of outstanding athletes and coaches from Plovdiv and the region.

Thirteen albums contain photos of prominent athletes from Plovdiv and the region, as well as footage from the Olympics, world championships and other sports events. Some of the personalities included in the album were born in the early 20th century, and the sports covered number more than twenty. Everyone can immerse themselves in history, flipping through the pages of the albums.

The archive is also available on the specially developed Sports Museum website, a digital alternative to the albums that is accessible all the times to everybody. On the site, visitors can explore different sports, personalities and historical events. https://sportsmuseumplovdiv.bg/bg

Each of these projects is also supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv and Georgi Tityukov - Deputy Mayor Sports, Youth Activities and Social Policy, who during the event expressed his gratitude to the guardians of the history of Plovdiv. He also told us about what sport activities are coming up in the city.
