On 11 January the second meeting of the educational program for Student Councils was held with children and youth from Hristo Smirnenski High School in Hisarya.
The topic was aimed at clarifying and tracking the process of organizing an event. The youth constructed the images of the chairman, vice-chairman, pedagogic adviser and class leader by following their interests, activities and hobbies in their free time, tasks and responsibilities in the council. A key point in the activity was the process of studying the needs and requirements of the students, generating specific forms and tools.
The program continues to be implemented in schools both in the region and in Plovdiv. Its main objectives are to clarify the nature and role of student self-government, to support the development and functioning of the Student Council/Parliament in the individual school, to generate ideas for future activities and to share experiences and good practices.
The activity is realized as part of the project "Youth Centre Plovdiv - a powerful factor for local development" under the program "Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups, financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021.
