We launched the educational program for Student Councils in three more Plovdiv schools - National High School of Commerce, St. St. Cyril and Methodius High School and Lyuben Karavelov High School.
Its main objectives are to clarify the nature and role of student self-government, to support the development and functioning of the Student Council/Parliament in the individual school, to generate ideas for future activities and to share experiences and good practices.
In our first meeting, we conducted activities to get to know the participants and explore the work of their council. In addition, the students presented their expectations for the program and the needs they have. The young people were provoked to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the Student Council, as well as to think about its challenges and opportunities.
The activity is realized as part of the project "Youth Centre Plovdiv - a powerful factor for local development" under the program "Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups, financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021.
