The team of the Plovdiv Youth Center - host of an exchange organized by the Omega Association - Kardzhali

The Plovdiv Youth Center team hosted an exchange organized by the Omega-Kardzhali Association to immerse them in the magic of non-formal education. The participants went through training on youth civic participation and its forms through the prism of the settlement they come from. They described the typical young man from the town of Kardzhali with his interests, free time, civic positions and beliefs about life. Reasons were sought for the passivity and non-involvement of young people in the civil process. Ideas were generated on how it could be positively impacted. Young people expressed their opinion about the participation of their friends and acquaintances in the decision-making process and influence on public life in Kardzhali. In groups, they built "youth policy diamonds" for their city, identifying those policies that are strongly advocated for young people and those that are absent. Concrete examples were presented and opportunities were sought for young people themselves to participate directly in their formation and implementation by the local government.
