In the period 10.12.-15.12. the team of OP "Youth Center Plovdiv" carried out a working visit to Matera, Italy. During the visit, the partnerships between OP "Youth Center Plovdiv" and the local organizations "DSL Association of Civita" with coordinator Valentina Palazzo, a youth worker, and "Noi Ortadini" with coordinator Andrea Grieco, one of the founders of the organization, were strengthened.
The main goal of the visit was precisely the exchange of experience, good practices and planning of joint projects.
The warm welcome from the Municipality of Civita gave the start to the presentation of the organizations, where many points of contact were found in the field of education and sports.
On one of the days, the school "Polo Arberesh Civita-Frascineto" was visited, where students of different nationalities and origins study. In this meeting, sport stood out as a means of removing social and cultural barriers.
The program continued with a visit to the neighboring town of Frascineto, where the importance of promoting a culture of physical and mental well-being through sports and education about the benefits of an active lifestyle was raised. On the last day of the visit, a meeting with "Noi Ortadini" took place in their bio-garden, where the foundations of a future partnership in the field of sports and non-formal education were discussed.
