In the period from June 20 to 24, the team of the Municipal Enterprise "Youth Center Plovdiv" and the approved candidates for the second exchange visited the Kerry Diocesan Youth Service (KDYS) Youth Center in Listowel, Ireland. The main objectives of the visit were to establish a partnership between the two centers and to exchange good practices and ideas.
We participated in meetings with local government representatives responsible for the development and implementation of youth policies in the city. We also carried out exchanges with local youth associations, voluntary and other organizations working with topics such as non-formal education, social assistance and innovation, management and others.
The exchange increased the knowledge, skills, motivation and competences of the youth and our educational team. The participants came back very motivated, loaded with new ideas that they want to pass on to their friends and peers.
Together we also discussed joint initiatives aimed at strengthening innovative solutions for social impact towards sustainable and inclusive development.
Special thanks to our host Gareth Harteveld - Director and all his amazing team.
