💡The past weekend turned into a real celebration both for the Plovdiv Youth Center and for young people from all over the country! 🥳
🔛 We started the 10th anniversary edition of the traditional Youth Forum "Truth or Dare" on the topic "Young people (re)act".
👥 Young people, mediators and youth workers from the International Youth Center Burgas, Youth Center Gabrovo, International Youth Center Pernik, Youth Center Plovdiv and International Youth Center Stara Zagora went through topics from the second part of the educational program "Youth make an impact", developed in partnership with colleagues by the National Network of Youth Centers, the Applied Research and Communications Foundation and Norsensus MediaForum.
🎬 We started by conceptualizing the initial element of an informal training activity, namely the process of getting to know and uniting the group. Emphasis is placed on the importance and role of this part in the context of non-formal education.
🗣️ We continued with exercises and tips to build and refine our presentation skills needed to turn action into impact.
🔎 Training activities for working with vulnerable groups introduced the topic of discrimination, stereotypes, prejudices and ways to deal with them. The "Design Thinking" method was also presented🎲, through which the participants reached the opinion of random passers-by in the context of the recognition of the Youth Center and generated ideas according to the needs and requirements that stood out.
✈️ The career development topic outlined the steps involved in creating the best resume and how a candidate for a particular job can give you an edge over others.
🦸♂️🦸♀️ During the forum, the guest speakers were representatives of Lidl Bulgaria, who answered the question: "How to create my own personal brand?". They revealed the secrets of image building by every young person in social networks and the message that a media content carries. The activities and opportunities provided by the Trust for a Social Alternative related to career guidance for young people of Roma origin were presented.
🎎🇧🇬The final session took us into the world of yoga and folk dance, which actually turned out to be closely connected with many common threads with each other, intertwined in the world of youth work and youth centers.
🔜 The forum continues during the next weekend - October 27-29, in which young people from Plovdiv, the region and the whole country can participate!
