This weekend, the celebration for Youth Center Plovdiv continued with the second part of the 10th anniversary edition of the traditional Youth Forum "Truth or Dare" on the theme "Youth (re)act 2".
Young people from the cities of Plovdiv, Hisarya, Dimitrovgrad and others took part. They went through topics from the second part of the educational program "Youth Re(act)", developed in partnership with colleagues from the National Network of Youth Centers, Foundation "Applied Research and Communications" and Norsensus MediaForum.
We started by playing the playbook "C-guidebook" by Raicho Raichev. He involved us in the topic of the fundamental rights and freedoms of young people.
This was followed by the understanding of the role and importance of the first element of an informal training activity - the process of getting to know and uniting the group.
We continued with the topic "Informal education", in which all participants touched on the basic principles and methods of this type of education.
The topic "Teamwork", which was presented by our active young people - Alexandra Babaikova and Yanko Vrachev in an exciting way. This activity managed to bring the group together and enrich it precisely in the area of teamwork that we face on a daily basis.
The next training activity that the Plovdiv Youth Center team conducted was "The Two Sides of the Interview". Participants were transported into a simulated future work environment, acquiring the skill of writing a CV and moving into the two roles of a job interview, improving their presentation skills as well.
During the forum, our guest speakers were representatives of Lidl Bulgaria and TSA (Trust for a Social Alternative), who developed the topic of career development for young people. Veronika Kertikova-Tapcheva and Silvia Mitova explained the steps in creating the best resume and the advantages that can be brought to the fore when applying for a certain job.
The final session covered a key and current topic among the youth, namely "Leadership Skills". The participants had the opportunity to bring out and discuss the important qualities that a leader has or can develop in order to be successful. They also experienced the application of some of them themselves and discussed how they can benefit them personally and professionally.
