On 18. 10, the youth initiative of two of our interns Atanaska and Denitsa was held in the town of Perushtitsa with the help and financial support of the Association "Big Brother Big Sister - Bulgaria". On the occasion of the city's holiday, the girls organized an educational and sports activity called "Sport for Everyone" at the primary school "Petar Bonev".
The participants were divided into groups. Each group, through informal tasks, had the opportunity to get acquainted with prominent athletes and their achievements in different sports, namely football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis and track and field athletics. In the rest of the activity, the young people had time to play their favorite sports outdoors and for those who did not want to, they had the opportunity to express their creative passions.
Sports items, such as volleyballs, basketballs, soccer balls, ropes, rubber bands, were purchased and donated by Atanaska and Deni to the children, so that they would not forget that sports, in addition to fun, bring health, motivation and success.
The event is part of the initiative "Academy for Working with Volunteers of the "Big Brother Big Sister - Bulgaria" Association and is implemented within the framework of the "Rights and Values" project, funded by the European Union and the "Workshop for Civic Initiatives" Foundation (WFCI).
