Between January 23 and 25, our team, together with volunteers from the Youth Center, carried out the first youth training program “Shun, na bistar!” (Listen, do not forget!).
Together with the young participants, we spent three intensive days discussing stereotypes, prejudices, and discrimination; discovering how rights can be our superpower; diving into Roma history and culture; breaking myths with facts; and remembering prominent Roma figures who inspire.
We also addressed the difficult topics - through non-formal activities, videos, photos, clue-searching, and thematic discussions, we took the time to reflect on the Holocaust and why memory is a responsibility. After all the emotions and experiences, the young people found their own voice in an enriching creative process, creating video content with a meaningful message.
Today - on International Holocaust Remembrance Day - we are also sharing photos from our educational program.
