International network of youth centers with a “Quality Label” for youth centers of the Council of Europe

The European Steering Committee has developed a project to promote the European Youth Centers of Council of Europe as standard - settings instruments and examples of good practice for youth policy. This project aims to share knowledge and to establish a network  between youth centers across Europe. It consists of three main elements: the Council of Europe Quality Label for Youth Centers, which is awarded to youth centers that meet a set of quality criteria, an annual meeting of the European Platform of Youth Centers to ensure networking between centers recognized with a quality label and those seeking to acquire it, as well as the annual training course for the training staff for youth centers. Municipal Enterprise “Youth Center Plovdiv” has been a member of the international network since 2018.

National Network of Youth Centers


The National Network of Youth Centers was established in October 2016 by signing a cooperation agreement between the managers of the four Bulgarian youth centers - Vratsa, Dobrich, Plovdiv and Stara Zagora. The main goal of the network is to advocate the recognition of youth work at national level and to work towards common quality standard. A number of joint activities were implemented, including a National training on the topic of human rights, and International youth expo on the topic "Create Your Future".

 

Applied Research and Communications Fund

Applied Research and Communication Fund is a non-governmental organization that conducts research and analysis with the aim of supporting the formulation and implementation of public policies. The organization focuses its work in several fields such as: introducing policy-making tools, e.g. the foresight approach; on active work to reach consensus by involving stakeholders such as representatives of government, industry and civil society, as well as by forming coalitions and public-private partnerships. It works to build the capacity of various professional groups by organizing and conducting trainings, as well as by transferring know-how and good practices, increasing the capacity of companies to implement and use innovations by providing technological brokerage and consulting services. The team of the organization consists of young professionals with experience and knowledge in the field of information technology, computers, engineering, economics and business administration.

National Center for Safety Online 

  National Center for Safety Online works toward enhancement of the digital literacy of the children and young people. The team has been encouraging the positive, safe and responsible use of Internet and the mobile technologies since 2005. In case of an accident in the network the center provides consultations and support on the phone and online. National Center for Safety Online supports the process of the integration of the media and digital literacy in the educational system. 

 

NorSensus Mediaforum

NorSensus Mediaforum is a non-profit organization working in the field of media and communication. Their main focus is on young people and this part of the population with an additional need for guidance and development of skills in this area. Norsensus Mediaforum consists of young people between 18 and 33 with experience in all - starting from digital media, through human rights and until software development. They give priority to working with groups such as young people, immigrants, women, people with low incomes and living standards, the population living in the countryside or far outside the largest cities. They place emphasis on social participation and the human rights perspective in everything they do and support measures and practices that ensure communication is seen as a fundamental human right.

Assosiacion for democratic education FAR

 

The association FAR is a non-govermental organisation, which offers non-formal education for young people and adults.
“Far” is the Bulgarian word for lighthouse, which represents the goals of the association.
FAR is a free and independent association and wants to contribute to:
Encourage people from different generations to get involved in political and social processes;
Achieve and support independent opinion making, rethinking and moral courage;
Discuss in public important topics such as the European integration of the country or the increasing emigration of young Bulgarians.

Europe Direct Plovdiv

Plovdiv District is a member of the EUROPE DIRECT network in Bulgaria, which in turn is part of a group of EUROPE DIRECT centers located throughout Europe. Thanks to these centers, citizens have access to Europe and can take part in debates on the future of the EU. The activities of the organisation includes: visits to schools, presentations, organizing discussions on the EU and promotion of official publications. The provided services are free of charge for the participating citizens.

Open spaces

The activities of "Open Spaces" are focused on the cross road between art and social change. The association aims to study and explore the culture of isolated from society and minority groups, to establish partnerships to create opportunities for the development of their potential and their full inclusion in society, building bridges and creating conditions for dialogue and cooperation between different social groups, empowering young people through cultural and educational activities. Since 2015, the team, together with volunteers, anthropologists and artists, has been conducting various initiatives in the Stolipinovo district of Plovdiv, aimed at stimulating the creative potential of young people, supporting local craftspeople and researching the stories of people in the community.

Lions club Plovdiv

 
Lions club Plovdiv is a non-governmental charity organization that works with children and young people at risk and supports their social development. Carries out environmental projects and organizes a number of campaigns and initiatives in the field of art. All members are from 16 to 18 years of age and actively partner with Мunicipal enterprise „Youth Centre Plovdiv”.

People to People International, Plovdiv Student Chapter, or PTPI Smiles is a volunteer organization that supports the international peace building among the citizens through mutual understanding. Parents’ organization, established in 2010 as an Association in benefit of the community. The main aim of the association is to unite the efforts of its members in the process of protection people with different disabilities. Gender Alternatives Foundation

 

For already 10 years Foundation GA and its team have been protecting victims of various forms of violence and unequal treatment, regardless of their ethnicity and origin. Because violence, insults, unequal treatment (discrimination), have no ethnicity and origin. Bulgarian Rowing Federation


Rowing is one of the most successful sports in the country with many awards. The Bulgarian Rowing Federation organizes and implements competitions at national and international level. The Bulgarian Canoe-Kayak Federation actively supports competitors in international competitions, European and World championships and Olympic Games.
