Educational Biogarden
In 2018, the team of Municipal Enterprise “Youth center Plovdiv” with the support of the Willo Foundation, Bulgaria, implemented a project for establishment of an educational Biogarden. This creates an opportunity for children to learn in a natural environment. They are trained how to harmoniously interact with the nature and its resources, virtues and values.
According to modern teaching methods, the educational garden is an innovative and attractive place where the growing people unleash their potential. It is a place for communication, learning and having fun. In the Biogarden of Municipal Enterprise “Youth center Plovdiv” children and young people gain knowledge about nature through real practical work – they learn to care about plants that they planted, make materials and tools and various discussions and trainings are held in a specially build gazebo. This creates a new model of a local community of children, educators, parents, supporters and friends.
Outdoor educational room
With the creation of the outdoor educational room, the activity of the centre will be upgraded in order to improve the social inclusion of young people and their motivation for a healthy and ecological lifestyle.
The outdoor educational room is built as a part of the project "Youth Centre Plovdiv - a powerful factor for local development." under the programme “Local development, poverty reduction and enhanced inclusion of vulnerable groups” funded by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021.
