Lilyana Vaseva - Rowing

 

Born on 12.08.1955 in Velichkovo, Pazardzhik District

Liliyana Vaseva prepared for competitions under the direction of Milka Kuleva in the team of Trakiya Plovdiv. She is Olympic vice-champion from 1976 in Montreal, Canada in a quadruple sculls with helmsman. At the 1975 World Cup in Nottingham, Great Britain, she won a silver medal. She was also ranked second in the Druzhba 84 tournament, an alternative to the Los Angeles Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Vaseva is multiple Republican champion and winner of international regattas. Between 1980 and 1983 she was a rowing coach at the local club Trakiya Army Sports Society.
