In 2020, the preparation of a Digital Media Literacy Programme was initiated.
In the process, the team of the centre partners with their colleagues from the National Network of Youth Centres, “Applied Research and Communications” Foundation and “Norsensus MediaForum”. A survey was conducted among young people aiming to identify their needs and most interesting topics. Based on the survey, a list of 12 topics was prepared. 12 modules were developed by the methodology of non-formal education by a representative of the working group, following consistency and logic in order to develop various skills, such as teamwork, critical thinking, decision making.
The main goal of going through all the modules is identifying and seeking solutions to community problems in the big city and small settlements by the young people themselves. The methodology of Forum Theater was presented as the 13th topic, which was the last prism through which to consider the community problem. The educational modules were systematized in a general programme manual, named “Youths (in)action”. The handbook is distributed free of charge to teachers, pedagogical advisers, social and youth workers at local, regional, national and international levels.

The team of the Municipal Enterprise "Youth Center Plovdiv" conducted a survey, on the basis of which it will develop the upcoming training programs and workshops.

Location: the city of Plovdiv and the region

Purpose: the study of the needs and wants of young people aged 15-29 years

The activities are implemented under the project "Youth center Plovdiv - a powerful factor for local development" under the program "Local development, poverty reduction and improved inclusion of vulnerable groups", financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021.
