Charity bazaars

Since 2016 М.Е "Youth Centrе Plovdiv" organizes and conducts charity bazaars each year for Christmas and Easter with the title "From children to children". In the bazaars take part schools, kindergardens, NGOs and volunteers. Participants join the bazaar with handmade gifts, cards and souvenirs, which they sell. With the raised funds the participants support a cause of their choice. The purpose of these events is to motivate young people to do good deeds, to be supportive, responsible, and to evoke empathy. At the same time, through their personal example, they will attrack more and more people to get involved in this type of activity.

Easter Bazaar - 2024

Municipal enterprise "Youth Center Plovdiv" welcomed Lazarus Day and Tsvetnitsa by holding its traditional Charity Easter Bazaar "From Children to Children" in front of GRAND shopping center. The event was opened by Nikolay Bukhalov - Deputy Mayor "Sports and Youth Activities" at the Municipality of Plovdiv.
Our benefactors once again took part in the bazaar to support various charitable causes. This edition included:
- schools: OU "Vasil Levski", SU "Sv.Sedmochiselnitsi", PGKIT "Dr. Ivan Bogorov", PGHTT Plovdiv, ChPGIKI "Academic Blagovest Sendov";
- kindergartens: "Valentina" kindergarten, "Miroslava" kindergarten;
- creators: Galabina Atanasova and Yanko Vrachev, Olga Lukashina;
- organizations: BKO Caritas Vitania, Regional Center for Supporting the Process of Inclusive Education, "Parallel World" Association;
- University: Plovdiv Technical University.
The amount collected with common efforts, talent and dedication is worth BGN 7,407.42.
The causes chosen by the participants are: support of children and young people with intellectual disabilities, help of homeless animals, support of a social enterprise, donation for opening children's clinical departments, "Together for Kotse", "Let's help Stanislav", " Shared Easter", "In Plovdiv - without a home", "Let's help Ivan Nikolov", "Violence has no place in children's lives", "Together the mountain is accessible".
The team of OP "Youth Center Plovdiv" expresses its sincere thanks to the Trade and Administrative Center "GRAND" for the opportunity to organize the event for another year, as well as to all benefactors and volunteers who participated in the bazaar and helped to prepare and hold it .

Christmas Bazaar - 2023

Our traditional Charity Christmas Bazaar "From Children to Children" took place this past weekend.
It was attended by:
- schools: EG "Ivan Vazov", PGKIT "Dr. Ivan Bogorov", PGMT "Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov", SU "Sveti Sedmochiselnitsi" and SU "Chernorizets Hrabar";
- the organizations: "Carefree Childhood", "Caritas Vitania", "National Association of Children with Diabetes" and "Parallel World";
- Kindergarten "Valentina";
- the creators: Daniela Uzunova-Simeonova, Olga Lukashina and Ralitsa Hristeva.
All of them, with the talent and elegance of their handmade creations, collected the sum of BGN 5,104.36.
With the money collected, the participants supported charitable causes that they themselves determined. They were associated with homes for children deprived of parental care, children and youth with intellectual disabilities and special educational needs, raising funds for the participation of children with diabetes in an international tournament in Poland in 2024 and raising funds for food for the needy people.
In addition to the bazaar, the benefactors also participated in the celebration of the International Human Rights Day.
They took a photo with our special frame for the day and shared how they felt about it.
Once again, we proved and showed that good triumphs, thanks to all benefactors and benefactors.

Easter Bazaar - 2023

Our traditional charity Easter bazaar "From children to children" was held on April 8 and 9 in front of GRAND Shopping Center. We welcomed the two bright holidays of Lazarus Day and Palm Sunday together amid colorful Easter decorations.

Benefactors in this edition of the bazaar were the schools - PGKIT "Dr. Ivan Bogorov" and High School of Informatics and Computer Sciences "Academic Blagovest Sendov", freelancers - Olga Lukashina, Ralitsa Hristeva and Elena Rybka and "Parallel World" Association.
The amount collected from the sale of the handmade things was BGN 2,173.67, with which they will support the causes "Let's help Stanley run again", Buying food for "IN PLOVDIV - WITHOUT A HOME", Helping Desislava Mangorova, For the injured children after the earthquakes in Turkey, In support of young people with intellectual disabilities, "To help Lyubomir have a fulfilling way of life."

Christmas Bazaar - 2022

The team of ME "Youth Center Plovdiv" once again this year held the traditional Charity Christmas Bazaar "From Children for Children". BGN 7,043.13 was collected in front of the "Grand" shopping center in the period December 10-11 from the sale of handmade decorations and gifts.
Again, charitable causes of the participants' own choosing were supported. Here are who they were: Support for children and young people with physical and intellectual disabilities, In aid of Vanko, Support for students in need and in disadvantaged situations, Municipal shelter for dogs, In Plovdiv - without a home, In aid of Daniel Zlatev, Support for "Bulgarian Christmas", For the purchase of gifts for the children from DDLRG "Princess Maria-Louisa" and In aid of Ivan Neykov.
The participants in the event or benefactors, as we call them, were representatives of the schools: EG "Ivan Vazov", National Commercial High School, PGKIT "Dr. Ivan Bogorov", OU "Vasil Levski", SU "St. Paisiy Hilendarski", SU "Chernorizets Hrabar", the organizations: Regional Center for Support of the Inclusive Education Process - Plovdiv, "Different but Equal" Association, Association of Medical Students, Bulgarian Association of Dental Medicine Students, Language Center - Euro Alliance and the creators: Olga Lukashina, Ralitsa Hristeva, Melina Atanasova, Veronika Atanasova.
Thank you to everyone who opened their hearts and believed in miracles! We also thank the Vocal Studio "Sintez" for brightening up every participant and visitor of the bazaar with their angelic voices!

Easter Bazaar - 2022

Municipal enterprise "Youth Center Plovdiv" held its Easter charity bazaar "From children to children" for the fifth time in a row.
On April 16 and 17, with handmade cards, wreaths and other Easter gifts and decorations, the "Malina" and "Miroslava" kindergartens, the National Commercial High School - Plovdiv, the "Vasil Levski" Elementary School - Plovdiv, the " Todor Kableshkov" - the city of Plovdiv and PGKIT "Dr. Ivan Bogorov", "Parallel World" association, artist Ralitsa Hristeva and participants in the youth initiative "Life in Colors".
Traditionally, the benefactors themselves chose the causes to support with the funds collected from the sales - helping: sick children and youth, children with special needs, children injured in traffic accidents, children from Ukraine, helping homeless animals. The amount collected from all the kind hearts that became part of this charity event is BGN 4,885.71.

Christmas Bazaar - 2021

On December 18 and 19, 2021 "Youth Center Plovdiv" organized charity Christmas bazaar "From children to children". The event was held in front of the shopping center "Grand" and was opened with music performances by the team of the center. Through the efforts of all children and young people, 9 different charitable causes were supported. The amount from sales of beautiful cards, candlesticks, decorations and other handmade gifts was BGN 8030.94.

The activity is implemented as part of the project "Youth Center Plovdiv - a powerful factor for local development" under the programme "Local development, poverty reduction and improved inclusion of vulnerable groups", funded by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021.

Easter Bazaar - 2021

The Charity Bazaar "From children to children" this year was held on 17 and 18 April and was situated around the building of “Youth Center Plovdiv” at the Regatta Venue. Children, young people and volunteers offered their handmade Easter gifts, and the profit from their sale were donated to various charitable causes, which were determined by the participants themselves. Fifteen Plovdiv schools, kindergartens, voluntary and non-governmental organizations and artists helped the causes chosen by them with personally handmade Easter gifts.These included support for the treatment of young people, families affected by the covid crisis or at risk, children with special needs, support for community centers, artists and animal shelters. The collected total amount is BGN 3917.58.

Easter and Christmas Bazaar - 2020

The traditional bazaars of M.E. "Youth Center Plovdiv" were cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic situation in the country.

Christmas Bazaar - 2019

The Christmas bazaar in 2019 was held on 7 and 8 December infront of shopping center "Grand". Children and young people from Plovdiv schools, kindergartens, volunteer organizations and artists took part in the event. With their handmade Christmas gifts, in support of various causes, the participants made the world a little bit brighter. The amount raised for charity causes was BGN 4206, 47.

Easter Bazaar - 2019

The Easter Charity Bazaar "From Children to Children" was held on April 20 and 21 (Saturday and Sunday) in front of Shopping Center "Grand". The raised amount was BGN 2,450, which will help children and young people in need.

Easter Bazaar - 2018

The bazaar "From children to children" of M.E. "Youth Center Plovdiv" was located in front of the shopping center "Grand". As every year, the participants in the event were children, young people and volunteers, who chose the charitable causes for which to raise funds. The offered items made various decorations that everyone can buy and take home for Easter.

Christmas Bazaar - 2018

The bazaar of M.E. "Youth Center Plovdiv" in 2018 was held on December 8 and 9 and was located in front of the shopping center "Grand". Its main goal was to unite the efforts of all children and young people for charity. Thus, they supported various charitable causes by selling handmade Christmas gifts. The funds raised from the charity were BGN 5,490.14.

Christmas Bazaar - 2017

In 2017, on December 17, M.E. “Youth Center Plovdiv” organized a charity Christmas bazaar, which was attended by children and youth from local schools, youth clubs, associations, children from educational workshops at the center, as well as all those who wanted to join in the pre-holiday event. The bazaar was held in the basketball hall at the Regatta Venue, opposite the playgrounds of the center.

Easter Bazaar - 2017

On 9 April 2017 Municipal Enterprise "Youth Center Plovdiv" held a charity Easter bazaar that engaged children from the schools in Plovdiv and frineds of the center - youth clubs, university students and associations. The visitors of the bazaar bought hand made gifts and delicacies. This way they supported the charity causes of the participants in the bazaar. There were educational workshops for children and introduction to the method "Suggestopedia" during the event. This method develops memory, creativity and fast learning by using storytelling and games.

Christmas Bazaar - 2016

In 2016, M.E. "Youth Center Plovdiv" organized for the first time a charity bazaar. The pre-holiday event was entitled "From Children to Children". Students from Plovdiv schools, children from kindergartens, young people from volunteer organizations and independent artists took part in the event.

With the funds raised, the participants supported charitable causes, each of which was selected in advance. After the successful implementation of the event, the team of M.E. "Youth Center Plovdiv" was motivated to continue organizing charity bazaars so that to develop the responsibility and empathy of young people to do good deeds by giving a personal example.
